New BalanceFuelcell Rebel V4 womens Running Shoe

LOVE the Rebel 4! Super lightweight and plenty of toe room to run comfortably and efficiently (I wish more shoe companies would understand how important that is) but solid mid and heel fit so I am not slipping in the shoe. That the blue is beautiful is a bonus. Just ran a 6 miler on mostly roads and some light grass and trails - flat, up steep hills and down. Super light, fast, comfortable and no need to break in. The shoe was short for me so I did size up a half size - which I never have to do - but am super happy.

Love the look. I am not normally a New Balance person but needed a second pair of running shoes. I normally stick with Brooks, but when I read the reviews I knew I had to test them out. They are very similar to the Brooks Hyperion Max. I tend to look for the firmer cushioning when I am pushing off each foot as I run. This shoe has the cushion I am looking for and after my first 4 mile run my feet were not sore at all! I have a bad ankle, bad knee and bad back and these gave me the support. I also love my Hyperion Max’s. Quality seems pretty good so far, will update in the future. Shoes are very lightweight and I don’t feel like they need breaking in either. These are also good for walking in! I’m an active duty Army as well as a mom of young kids, so I’m always on the go or chasing my next PR. I don’t do well with overly squishy shoes. ASICS Gel Nimbus were a definite no go, clunky and huge. I am glad I chose the Rebel v4!!!!

I love this shoe because when you’re in it, it disappears. What I mean is, it is so light weight you barely know you’re wearing it. Very comfortable. I met the NB rep from MA today. He was visiting the Marathon Sports in Glastonbury, CT. I told him I’m obsessed with these shoes and also like the 1080s. He agreed with my assessment and showed me the new 1080s in light green. It was a real treat to meet the rep…As for sizing, I wear a 7.5 in running shoes and these are no exception. I tried on the 8 but 7.5 is better for me.

Apparently my first review, complete with pictures, was rejected. I’m not going to rewrite everything, so to sum up: I was sent 2 right shoes in 2 different sizes. I did try on the one that was the correct size and I didn’t like the fit. The upper rubbed on my toenail. Next purchase will be direct from the vendor and not through Amazon.
