Arrived promptly and well packaged. Was easy for one person to put together about 45 minutes. Lovely piece of furniture. Well made and sturdy. Holds lots of footwear and the function of lidded top means all that hallway 'stuff' that makes a place untidy, can be hidden away! Holds two people's weight sitting whilst putting on shoes. Was reasonably priced for the quality.

We are very pleased with this unit. It is well-made, easy to put together and perfect in our hallway. The seat is sturdy and its so nice to store shoes and bags in one neat piece of attractive furniture.

You can spend hundreds of pounds on a shoe bench, and for the price, this is really good. The wood colour wasn't quite what we were looking for, but in the flesh, it's quite nice. The instructions were ok but not amazing like some reviewers are making out. The order of assembly meant there were some awkward moments with the half-finished item vulnerable to breakage at times (often the case with flat-packed pieces of furniture). If you are extra careful that won't happen. The lid was a bit troublesome, we ended up going off-instructions (separating the hinge) and using some of our own screws. All fine in the end, albeit with some sideways movement when sat on the finished article. I accept this for the price though and it wouldn't put me off trying other Vasagle furniture.The product was really well packed with no scratches or marks, and I liked that it came with extra screws/stickers and that the pieces were labelled. A small screwdriver tool is included, so you don't need to find one. It arrived really quickly too, well done to the seller for using DPD.The dimensions given in the product description are accurate when the lid is closed, but because of the way the lid opens, you might need a bit more room at the back. Ours is placed slightly away from the front of a radiator so it's not a problem, and if it's pushed up against a skirting board, you'll have a bit of room to play with anyway. One reviewer felt the space for shoes was a little small. Our largest shoes are size UK 8 and they fit well but any larger and they might stick out a bit.Now that we've set it up and used it a bit, the most notable issue is that the lid doesn't stay open, it just falls if you don't hold it. Adjusting the hinges hasn't made any difference to that. Otherwise, it's fine. It's comfortable to sit on, looks good, and is decent for the money. If you don't want to spend too much on a shoe bench and the size is appropriate for your needs/space, then go for this one.

I have 5 different visagle...vagasil...vasigle....whatever... products. Every single one has been great. Cheap, easy to make, good flatpack esq quality. It's not oak but it doesn't look cheap and naff.This thing is great. The lid needs a bit of careful adjustment but is well worth it.Solid too. I sit on it every day to put on my work boots and it never grumbles! Unlike my wife!

Far sturdier than I expected ! Easy to put together and looks great. Storage under the seat is really useful.

Lovely shoe storage , nice and sturdy .Enough room for 6 pairs of shoes and a pair of boots .Easy to assemble .

I love this unit. It looks good,has a comfy seat with a drawer for keys etc,plus space for shoes. Very useful.

Excellent product , easy to assemble . Sturdy material and the size is exactly what I needed. Easily fits 2 person to sit and very comfortable.Plus point with the extra storage making it more functional.Would definitely recommend.
