Great book. Worked first time for me.
Excellent book. Very clear. I just successfully made chocolate for the first time, following his guidance. Content of the book is great. Charmingly badly formatted - like photos taken with an old phone and then inserted into a wordperfect document! But, as I say, sort of charming. Probably exaggerates how easy the process is but with a bit more practice I'm sure I'll get it down. Could be slightly better organized but it is remarkable how complete the guidance is.

Der Autor ist ein klassischer Bean to Bar Chocolate Maker, der sehr gerne und viel experimentiert. Das Buch ermöglicht es dem Anfänger, mit diesem Hobby einfach zu beginnen. Er erfährt worauf man achten sollte und bekommt viele Rezeptideen. Diese ermöglichen es einem, selber zu experimentieren. Die Darstellung dürfte etwas professioneller sein, der sehr gute Inhalt macht dieses Manko aber mehr als wett. Für mich das beste Buch für diejenigen, welche direkt und ohne Kurs mit der Schokoladenherstellung beginnen wollen.

Most chocolate flavoured recipes call for the use of cocoa powder... when you make chocolate, it's natural to want to use it in all chocolate recipes... this book is one of the rare few that offer cocoa liquor based recipes...It also is very detailed keeping you informed about the right temperature, how long you can store a particular preparation and a lovely recipe on chocolate jasmine which I am eager to try.... It comes across as a lifetimes work of personal experiments and experiences with invaluable insights... If you are looking for creative and diverse ways to use your home made chocolate... This book is recommended
