Charges in high altitude NM sunlight well enough to last at least 6 hours. It is smaller than it looks in the photos, about the same height as a dollar bill and two thirds the width. (a little less than 4 inches in diameter and about 6.5 inches tall. It does make a cute pattern.

I collect solar lanterns and look for new additions to add to the ambiance of my deck . The handle is wide enough to hang directly on a deck panel, but also hangs easily with a nail or screw. The metal is sturdy and rust-resistant. The hummingbird pattern casts the silhouette and shapes onto the deck floor and surrounding area just as pictured.What I like about this lantern is the amount of light it casts, size of the lantern, and the design. It allows me enough light to read from at night on the deck and would be great accessory for a camping trip as well. It is lightweight, but solidly built. The hummingbird design is surprisingly modest enough for the more elevated settings, it is not a gawdy look. It looks stately.

This looks great during the day and better at night. Even hanging up, it cast a recognizable light on the surrounding area which lasts most of the night. The material is thicker than many other lanterns so it seems to weather much better than some.

this lantern projects the pattern of the shade really well. Ours is hung roughly 6 feet off the ground and at night you can see the pattern easily. At dusk you cant really see the projected pattern though. Overall it looks great, has a good amount of light projecting from it and the pattern looks really nice.

I have several of these type lanterns. This one is very pretty. Metal with cut outs make a beautiful design at night. Works after you switch to the on position. Has recharged on solar and worked every night since. Fairies in my yard
