I am using it as auxiliary lighting on my Honda Rancher ATV. It plugs right into the auxiliary 12 volt connector I installed on the ATV. The light is pretty bright and should work well . The magnetic base is quite powerful and holds the light well to the mounting plate that I fabricated for it. I also plan on using it as an occasional work light if needed and I will carry it along with me in my truck. I think a longer cord will be necessary in order to use it as a portable wok light so I order a 12 volt extension cord for it I order to reach any distance from the power outlet on the truck.
