This is my favorite dark chocolate. Excellent, deep flavor, and very low lead content (unlike many major companies' chocolate).

I would eat an entire Mast bar a day and feel completely great. I tried doing the same thing with Ghirardelli 72% dark chocolate, and I felt nauseous and had a bad headache. I can only attribute that to Mast having really low heavy metals in their cocoa and Ghirardelli having a lot more heavy metals... I'm only eating Mast dark chocolate from now on... I don't care if it's more expensive, it's worth every penny. Don't listen to google ai saying that Ghirardelli 72% has less heavy metals than the conventional chocolate bar. After eating Ghirardelli 72% it made me feel like crap, Mast bars actually made me feel good and gave me a sense of well being. Trust your gut.

I love this dark chocolate. It is even vegan for those who find that important. I wish it wasn’t approximately $7.5 a bar though. Really expensive. The only reason I got it is consumer reports said it was the lowest in cadmium and lead compared to other brands. However, because all chocolate is still contaminated with these things, even this brand, I will have to not buy again even though I enjoyed having it. Plus the price is a lot. It was a nice treat though while it lasted.

I was surprised to see a $12 charge for shipping, being a prime member, however once I saw the packaging and the effort they take to keep the product from becoming melted goop, especially this very hot summer, I was very appreciative of their efforts. This is 85% cacao chocolate so if you are a milk chocolate fan, you will find this chocolate takes some getting used to. This is the first dark chocolate that I have found that is organic and no heavy metals. I only eat dark chocolate and this is GOOD. Worth the money

Bought this since it supposedly has far less lead and cadmium than other dark chocolate brands. I’d been used to eating 85% chocolate from another brand that I discovered supposedly has a very high amount of lead so I thought this might be a good swap for reduced lead. These were packaged well for shipping, but holy cow the smell of this chocolate is offensively strong. It is not a pleasant aroma. The taste is not bad. Texture is a bit gritty like cocoa nibs. But personally, the smell is really tough to get past. I also prefer a smoother texture. I sealed them up and hid them away for now. Too soon to say if I’ll just take these out only when I get strong cravings or if I’ll end up gifting these to others. I don’t want to rate this low since it seems like the health benefits make it a worthy choice, but I have to deduct points since I’m just not sold on this being something to which I can commit.

Divine! Healthy! Less sugar, lead, and cadmium! Consider one log from a bar daily, medicinal! Personal opinions…..

This is very good chocolate. I’m Swiss and we love our chocolate. For the person who mentioned it has a “weird fruity taste” and “they love their dark chocolate”. All of the brands that person mentioned are dutched (alkalized) chocolates. This chocolate is undutched and that’s just the real taste of actual chocolate. So I don’t really understand why you’d give something a lower score when this is a different product than a chemically processed candy bar. If you like real chocolate, this is a great one. Buying my second order today. :)
