Great picture
Surprisingly enough, this little 5 inch hand held TV gets a good, sharp picture. Very easy to put the rotating metal antenna on. There is another antenna you can use that sits on the ground and does not rotate but I have not had success with that kind of antenna so did not try it. Gets a lot of local channels and digital ones. Unfortunately a few of those are in Spanish and I don’t understand Spanish. I live in the DC area. It gets gPBS WETA which is based in Arlington VA but not Maryland Public TV which I love to watch and it is not that far away. Also doesn’t pull in another local DC channel that I watch and I was surprised because I have a 30 year old handheld and that TV was able to receive that channel although not clearly all the time I never counted but I would say it gets a good 20-30 channels but most of them I don’t watch. This TV also the capacity to act as a FM radio too but I have not used that feature yet. It’s easy to initially scan for possible channels. I use it just to watch a few things as I have moved and do not have a regular tv set up yet. Has earphone hole, AC/DC and an electrical cord you can plug in the wall to run TV or charge. Has USB port too. I am still amazed at the clear picture. Comes with a remote and instructions manual.

Cute little portable device
I didn’t buy this for the tv function, I bought it for the fm radio tuner bc an fm radio was about 1/2 the cost of this device & larger so not as portable, at least not the ones I was looking at. The unit was nicely packaged & came w/multiple chargers & antennas. Was quick & east to set up & fm radio comes in clear using the telescopic antenna screwed on top. The remote makes it easy to control unit as the buttons on it are not set clearly to adjust volume. Have been keeping it plugged in but did unplug to use on battery power for about 3 hours & was still going strong, I imagine the tv would use battery life faster. Pleased w/this purchase. Only rated 4 stars bc I have not used all the functions so do not know how well they work. Will update & rate accordingly if/when I use the tv.

OK unit, but be prepared for limited functionality
Mixed feelings about this item. As mentioned by other reviews, the manual supplied with the unit covers multiple models and is not specific to this unit. The ATSC TV tuner just didn't work for me, even when I connected a bigger amplified antenna. I know I live in an area with very bad over the air TV reception, but I was surprised it could not receive anything. BTW for ATSC you need to set it to "Air," not "Cable/Air." The FM radio works well; surprisingly, the little black antenna on the long lead actually works better than the telescoping one. BTW, you can turn off the 5v Antenna setting, that is there only to power amplified antennas with no external power supply. The unit does not recognize the USB or TF card unless you boot up with those inserted. The unit plays MP3 music perfectly and the sound is better than I expected for something so small. The unit has extremely limited video playback. The only format I found that actually works is MP4 with a MP3 audio. It plays the video on x264 mkv files, but does not play any modern audio such as AAC, AC3, etc. It does not play x265 mkv files. The maker of this unit should supply software that converts common video file formats into a format optimized for this unit (resolution, bit rates, etc.) The remote works well and the general build quality of the unit appears to be OK. Even though I am usually technically quite savvy, I just could not figure out how to set the clock. I am guessing that it needs an ATSC signal to set itself automatically??
