Works very well, hot or cold
Gets a lot colder than any other gel pack I've used. I have to put a tea-towel under it!Great relief for knee pain though and can also be heated in the microwave to alternate between heat and cold.A bit dearer than the usual gel packs but well worth it.

Substantial knee pack
This is a very substantial knee pack, much bigger than I had expected. It's not something you can wear all day long, it's more for applying cold and heat when it is needed. I haven't found it particularly comfortable to wear but it does the job asked of it.I have an old injury in my knee and for the most part, it is fine but occasionally I will get a flare up and it swells. This pack will be great to have to hand for when it is needed and as you can use it on other body parts, it's a good emergency ice pack for twisted ankles etc and beats defrosting bags of peas any day!

Works great and easy to use
I have not used a wrap like this before but am very happy after my knee surgery to find it works so well. It is easy to apply and tighten so that I can get up and walk around. I put in freezer in the sealed bag included. The amount of cold is perfect. I’ve noticed decreased swelling and pain after use. The material seems to be a good quality. I purchase the “ newer” version

Exactly as described
This is great for sore or injured knees. My only complaint, and it's a complaint about virtually all of these gel-icepacks, is that they never last as long as they say.But still if your knees are sore, or if you have an injury you need to ice I'd recommend a couple of these (so one can be in the freezer when the other's on your body.)

Good for more than just knees...
...but it would be better if it came with instructions. I will admit to spending several frustrating minutes trying to figure out how to put it on before realizing that I had it inside out. And I've been using an assortment of ice packs on myself and my horses for literal decades now. (I think part of my confusion stemmed from the fact that all my other ice packs have a black lining and a blue outer layer, where this one is the opposite.)Anyway, once I got past that, all was good, and it fits nicely and is quite adjustable. I think it would fit around quite a wide range of leg sizes. It could also be used on a flat surface like your back. The only odd thing I noticed was that the plastic ziplock bag that came with it for storing it in the freezer, clearly labeled to keep it from any refrigerator odors, had a small round hole punched right through it (through both layers). I couldn't tell if that was intentional or not, but I just covered the holes with tape and tossed it in the freezer.

My New Favorite Ice Pack
When I opened the package, my initial thought was "four star review," because the box contained no instructions and it was initially difficult to figure out the various straps and velcro fit into place. Then I popped it in the freezer and tried it out, and there was no way I could knock a star off. This thing is COLD.I've been recovering from a back injury with pain radiating down to my knee, and I have to ice it three times a day. The NEWGO keeps the ice tightly against the joint, providing immediate and effective cooling. And for some reason, it feels much colder than my other ice packs--and it's not even close. Initially, I laughed at a label that suggested putting a towel between the NEWGO and your skin to avoid frostbite. It's there for a reason. And for me, it's multipurpose: I can apply it to my knee, or I can lie down on top of it to cool my back. The large surface area is ideal. The only downside is size. My thighs aren't exactly thunderous, but the NEWGO is a tight fit. If I were 30 pounds heavier, I think it might be difficult to stretch around my knee. While the straps would stretch to keep it in place, without the main velcro attached I think it would slip if you tried to move.I can't speak to how well this works as a heat pad because that's not what I need right now, and I don't want to test it out in case it somehow negatively affects how cold the NEWGO gets. (Is that possible? Who knows, I'm not a chemist.) But as an ice pack, this is second-to-none. Cannot recommend more.

Just what I needed!
I injured both my knees years ago, and every so often they really start acting up. I was told to ice them occasionally when that happens, but trying to hold a bag of ice on my knee is kind of a pain in the butt.As others have said, I really like the fact that the underside is split into cube shapes, so it can conform better around your knee. In my case, however, I can't wear this while moving around at all. My thigh is way bigger than my calf, so even knee braces just slip right off. For icing while you're resting, though, this is fantastic...and you don't have to worry about ice packs slipping off your knee every time you shift around.
