Quality Build & Great Value
Solid construction... excellent value... quick set-up... easily fits in a daypack.. made my decent from atop Santorini, Greece on a donkey "mud" and uneven cobble stone trail safe... I initially purchased an all telescopic trek pole, but returned them for these smaller packed pole with a folding bottom section and two telescopic sections. The folding bottom snaps into place easily and securely. The folding section also makes the folded pole about 4 inches shorter making it easier to store in a pack or suitcase.

Good deal!
These trekking poles are a surprisingly good deal. First of all, there are indeed two (the ad copy makes it sound as if there's one). The adjustment levers may look slightly intimidating, but they work just like a quick-release lever on a bicycle seat or front tire--quite straightforward. The poles stay together with tent-pole style elastic cords, which work fine; the heavy plastic levers (rather than metal) are equally reliable. Three different foot grips are included (for those of us who unfortunately have graduated from backpacking to just getting around town). Excellent, simple instructions.

Good, but not great
These are pretty good walking sticks and I love that they fold up to 18" for easy storage in a backpack while hiking. However, the quality was a little iffy (not really surprising as they are pretty cheap). The adjustable hinges are pretty flimsy, one of them snapped on our 3rd day of hiking which made that pole unusable for the rest of the trip as you couldn't lock it in at a height greater than 2 feet.

Stability in stride.
My father is getting on in age and likes to go on community hikes. I want him to continue being active and social but mobility is starting to be an issue. He is not ready to be sidelined by a walker and so this was our solution. This helps stabilize him while walking on uneven territory as well as to excersize his arms and legs. Fellow hikers are now more comfortable with him attending the events and he feels more capable of completing them with the group. They are light weight with different attachments for different terrain. They are telescopic so they are customizable for height. They have wrist band attachment to help secure them. I then purchased myself a set to help me up steaper hills when I walk. I love them. Physical ability to use them should always be considered as these are not a mobility option for those with more severe mobility issues. They do however work for my 80 something father for the moment. It has been a great way to keep him active and help him be safer when doing so. I feel like the price was excellent for the product and it has held up with use. The grips are molded for comfort which is nice. They also fit nicely into our umbrella holder by the door for quick access and come with a carrying bag if desired. No picture in the moment as they are in use.

The perfect walking stick!
Great product. Fits in my small suitcase or backpack. I fly international frequently and that's important. These are sturdy and light. Love them!

Good for the price
At the price point, poles are good for day hikes. Though, perhaps a little heavy, the poles are not flimsy. The clamps hold securely without slipping and fold small enough for travel.

Don't count on them lasting long
I upgraded this to 3 stars as the seller had integrity and refunded my money. Hopefully they will continue to refine their product as the collapsible concept is great. Initially I was excited about the functionality of these. Being able to pack them into a carryon suitable was wonderful. However, at best I would consider them as disposable, I only used each (individually) them for about two weeks before they failed. I would not recommend these unless you are comfortable with them failing after a couple of weeks. They are lightweight, adjustable but easy to break at the connecting cord. Also I had to keep tightening the screw. Height adjustment is okay. At the onset of our vacation, one of the poles came apart and would not go back together. The cord was severed. I wrote to the company but haven't received any response. Days before our vacation was to end the second pole failed, it no longer was able to collapse. On the flight back, I had to keep the stuck area fully extended which was an inconvenience to both myself as well as others on the plane. Given that both poles failed I would appreciate a full refund.
