This system made the decision so much easier.I was initially planning to build my own system, and my budget was quickly exceeding $1000 for the cameras, NVR, and hard drive. Then I discovered this system, which cost less than $400 and included everything I needed.Here’s what you get in the box: 4 cameras, an NVR (with a 3TB hard drive installed), 4 60ft ethernet cables, a mouse, and all the necessary mounting hardware. The only additional items you’ll need are a monitor and an HDMI cable.Setting up the system was incredibly simple—just plug and play. The cameras are POE, so they power up and connect automatically to the NVR. The Videolink app is user-friendly and easy to set up across multiple devices (I have it running on my iPhone, MacBook and a Windows laptop), and you can access the NVR from any computer on your network.The only challenge was scheduling a time for my friend to help me run the cables to the spots where I wanted to mount the cameras. But once they were installed, I was blown away by the video quality and the AI recognition. I get notifications on my phone whenever someone walks past my house, and even when I let my dog out in the yard.
