Appears to be pretty ruggedly built. Got this for my mother-in-law. Big buttons, and just a few of them so they are easy to find and operate. The hidden number pad and programming control keys is a great feature to limit potential user error. Ability to set the channel up/down control to simply scroll only through selected/programmed favourite channels is a very handy feature. Programming the remote control overall was easy. I programmed the TV controls on the remote to my Sony TV with code 3611 from the instructions (also in the provided code-list) and as I have a Rogers CISCO cable box, I found that the CISCO and Rogers code lists had 1294 in common and that code worked correctly first try. Within two minutes I had it fully programmed and the favourites set. Now, I hope it will be just as easy to reprogram for a Samsung TV and Cogeco Pace box at my mother-in-law's place.
