Review: Much cheaper, but effective replacement for heroclip. I could see the occasional usefulness of a heroclip for travel or camping, but couldn't justify their price. These are well made and seem quite rugged. If I need to hang my personal item or backpack from a table, tree or stall this would work fine. They clip on easily in about the time it would take to open up the heroclip. I wouldn't be shy about hanging 30 or 40 lbs from one. Fortunately I don't have to carry an 80lb pack anymore, but you could hang one using two clips. I'm retired from the army and fire/rescue, and have used and abused a lot of gear. These seem well designed for their intended purpose, plus you get a bunch of them. I did add an inch of heat shrink over the hook end to improve grip.

**Q: Would these work on a wheelchair?**
A: I say Yes, perhaps utilizing 2 gear hooks would be more prudent, hook on each side could hold up a basic wheelchair, weighing ~ 40 pounds.

**Q: How much weight can these hold?**
A: An individual Gear Hook can hold about 50 lbs.

**Q: Won't shock cord wear out rather quicklly being under load? I'm suprised static cord wasn't used.**
A: We actually initially designed them to be used with Paracord, but found shock cord to be much more functional during the testing phase of our design. The Shock Cord we picked is quite thick and can lift 50 lbs easily. We do not have extensive testing on them wearing out over time under load, besides having ~50 packs in our office for the last year hanging and they are fine.

When doing pull testing, the plastic will actually break before the shock cord.

**Q: Will this work on a high school bathroom door to hold up a backpack?**
A: I checked, these work great on a 1 3/8" thick interior door. (of course, you can't close the door)
Yes, they should work fine on a bathroom stall door.
