Souper Duper SOUP!
I purchased this at my local grocery (now not available there, so thanks Amazon!) on a whim. It's pricey because it's a sit-com soup, how good can it possibly be, but I'll give it a try for fun.WOW!If you like thick, slow cooked better-than-homemade soup, prepare to be dazzled.Wild caught (!) crab is more in shreds than huge chunks, but the flavor is exquisite. No fishiness, just a fresh, clean, ocean taste. The corn still has a slight snap, setting it apart from soft, well cooked celery and onion. The butter and cream bump up the calories, but it's so good you'll happily do extra time working out.I'm not a huge seafood fan, it just seemed interesting. Had to share, so bought a box for a seafood loving friend who went crazy for it as well.I went back for the chicken noodle, and if you like meat you'll like that one too. As more of a broth and veg gal, it was good, but my pups got the big chunks of chicken. Also did the gumbo, it's REALLY good, just the right kick.Feeling a bit blue? This is comfort food. It's Make-You-Happy Soup!

Product revoew
The product did not taste as a crab and chowder should taste and it had little to no crab and more corn.

Good! Could be a little more "crabby", a little less salty!

This Soup Tastes Like Love...LIKE LOVE
This soup tastes like Christmas day and a warm, wet summer kiss and a furry puppy licking your face. It is everything good in life concentrated into a convenient package to fill your stomach and warm you soul. Truly, I have seen the very face of God. He put his hand to my cheek and said "Come my son, have some soup. It's made with real wild caught crab."

Awesome Product-I Pay $1.50 Per Box
I buy this regularly at Menadrds for $1.50 per box. They have the Crab and Corn Chowder, Jumbalaya, Chicken Gumbo, and the Chicken Noodle. I love the Crab and Corn Chowder and bring it to work daily. Just heat it up in the microwave in a small container. Excellent product.

Deserved "Soup Nazi" Status.
This is far and away the best soup I have ever tasted. It's fresh taste and masterful spice blend make it excellent for when you're sick or just feeling like you need to cuddle up with a warm mug of soup and a book. Very impressive for a store-bought flavor.

Have always loved food in Brooklyn or in Manhattan so I thought ...
I purchased this in my nearby Giant Supermarket in Maryland. I am a native New Yorker but have lived in Maryland 40+ years. Have always loved food in Brooklyn or in Manhattan so I thought I would give this a try.I love our Maryland Crab soup and I thought this soup would taste close. It was very disappointing. It had plenty of corn and seafood base soup for flavor BUT NO CRAB! If it was there, I did not see it! I purposely looked at each spoonful that I ate...there was potato, some red peppers, plenty of corn in each spoonful BUT like I said NO CRAB...was it a "bad" batch? or is this the way this soup presents itself? Anyway I will never buy it again - might try another variety and see if I like that BUT for the price paid? on sale for $2.54? I don't think I would pay that much for so little soup and be disappointed - I guess I am spoiled with the crab soup we get here in Maryland...this does not even come close.

So Good, So Salty!
I have tried the crab chowder and the jambalaya. Both very flavorful with plenty of hearty chunks. I am 6'2" and 190 and am appropriately satisfied with one box (2 servings). I was surprised to discover though that a whole box has 88% of your recommended sodium. As others have said, it is salty. My wife doesn't like it for that reason. I would buy more often if they reduced their sodium content.
