These hooks are brilliant, solid and graceful! Looks great, deducting one star because the brackets and screws they have provided are terrible. These are not designed for this and I had to use my own brackets to put them up! Otherwise, very happy with the purchase!!!

WHAT IS IT FOR? A set of four coat hooks for wall mounting. To hang coats, hats, bags, scarves, etc. from. IN THE BOX * Four large, solid, aluminium, black-painted coat hooks * Ten small screws (8 + 2 spares) * Ten small wall plugs (8 + 2 spares) for solid walls * A simple pictorial Instruction Manual with some bizarre wording If you've got plasterboards walls, you'll need a different type of wall plug. The coat hooks are big, stylish and impressively solid. INSTALLING These coat hooks from Jockcaras are designed for screwing to a wall or other vertical surface, such as a solid wooden door. The process is simple as can be, but I might as well spell it out: 1: Hold the hook against the wall/door 2: Check it's vertical with a spirit level or plum bob (remember those?) 3: Mark the wall/door through the two screw holes 4: Drill holes for the screws in the marked points. If you're mounting to a wall, use a 6mm masonry bit to make holes for the wall plugs. If you're mounting to a door, use the smallest pilot drill you've got, no bigger than 2.5mm diameter - or use a hammer and nail to providing a starting point 5: Hammer the wall plugs (if using them) into the holes then screw the coat hook to the wall/door Note: You'll need a different type of wall plug if you've got plasterboards walls. I just mounted a hook to a solid wooden post and a 2.5mm pilot hole was perfect, the screws are good and tight and the hook feels rock solid. So, into wood, the screws are just fine; into a typical solid wall (plaster over brick) I think the plugs are not long enough or wide enough to provide enough purchase. BEST BITS + The coat hooks look great: chunky, well-finished and nicely shaped + They are big enough to take all sizes of coats, hats, bags, umbrellas, etc + Complete kit, with spare screws and wall plugs + Not expensive WORST BITS - The wall plugs are smaller than I'd like, I'm worried they'll work loose quickly - No wall plugs for plasterboard walls CONCLUSION I love these chunky, stylish black coat hooks, but not their undersized fixings. Luckily, screws and wall plugs can be replaced easily for a few pence. Four-and-a-half stars, darn it. Five if the manufacturer supplies proper fixing hardware for walls.

not suitable for your backpack with the laptop in, I installed these and they was fine and ok until something heavy came on like the children's lunch box and their bag and their coat, it went fall - like the laptop and the bag it came off and broken im not recommending these cheap tacky items sorry

PACKAGING: Plain, slim white box with a bar code label on the front PRODUCT: Heavy duty coat hooks x 4, each wrapped in clear plastic. Instruction manual. FUNCTION: I was surprised by how slim the box was and I was prepared to be disappointed once I had unpacked the hooks. However, each hook is a really good size - 13.7cm tall with depth from the wall of 7.7cm. The hooks are really light weight but very robust. I tried to flex one but it was solid. They are made from aluminium and powder coated (I suspect). The surface is smooth to the touch. There are no sharp edges or unsightly joins. All in all, these are very well made. Each hook has two pre-drilled counter sunk holes for mounting. You receive two small clear press seal bags of wall fixings containing in total - 10 small black cross head screws and raw plugs. It also comes with mounting instructions, but these are not really required to be honest. I have mounted my hooks on a piece of timber which I have then secured to the utility room wall. These not only look good, but they can accommodate the largest of winter coats without looking overwhelmed. At the time of this review the pack of four coat hooks was £9.99, which is about £2.50 a hook. I think this is reasonable considering the quality and durability, so I would recommend.

Actually, it was very well made and heavy duty. Unfortunately it was too big for what I was looking for. Perfect for coats, knapsacks…. Nice looking also.

Hooks are great however the included screws and anchors were not that great. The included hardware made the hooks flimsy however after switching them out with beefier anchors, the hooks were great!
