Its a bit more complicated to use than others that I have owned in the past.
It looks as though this will be a good, long lasting machine. Construction seems sound and it makes outstanding Espresso shots . . . once you get it to work. It would not function at all when using the double shot basket. Customer service responded immediately and they sent me an new basket. It has worked flawlessly ever since. I will admit my old Ninja made better regular coffee, but the Espressione is ok for regular coffee. My previous Ninja brand did not make espresso shots and the Ninja died after only 2 years use (my son had same failure experience with the Ninja). I have great hopes for the Espressione, it seems to be a good, solid design and the 19 bar pressure is higher than most home units, which allows the Espressione to make exceptional Espresso Shots; which is the primary reason for my purchase. READ THE MANUAL THOUROUGHLY BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE!!!!!

STOPPED WORKING WITHIN 4 MONTHS!
Absolutely terrible! This was a gift for my husbands birthday on January 3rd. 2 weeks ago, under 1 year the product stopped working! It will not heat up and will not brew. I've been going round and round with their info email group. They told me it has a bad CPU! They want me to ship the product back on my own dime and they will fix it. NO! The product stopped working within 4 months! I asked for them to ship me a new one. I was told they didn't do that. However, it clearly states they will do that in their manual. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

I love using this machine every day.
After researching the few other options for a combination machine and reading reviews, I chose the Espressione machine with trepidation. I have waited to write a review until I had a chance to use it for a few months. Many of the reviews on this machine and the others suggest and sometimes admit that instructions were never read or barely referenced. While the instructions on for the Espressione required some common sense for my full understanding, along with use of the product, they are very useful. Now that I have used the machine in all its modes, I am relieved to say that from my perspective, this is a great little machine. I enjoy using it every day. It brews a consistent, great pot of coffee without undue complication. Cleaning is very simple. The espresso side also works beautifully, for a relatively inexpensive machine. on this side, let it warm up for 10 minutes before using. The steam function works great, as does the hot water stream, if chosen. The main negative is that the carafe leaks a little bit of the condensation from the lid while pouring. I use this machine for coffee, espresso, latte and cappuccino, sometimes more than one choice per day. While out of town for a couple of weeks, I found myself missing my Espressione. Grade A plus!!! I hope this helps more than the average review and that others give this machine a try!

Coffee addicts rejoice
Caffeine is my drug of choice, but I do not love paying $5 daily for my fix of coffee goodness, so when my old reliable pour over coffee maker finally decided to retire by shooting steam and water all over the kitchen, I decided I wanted to try my hand with an espresso machine to hopefully save a bit of coin. The problem is that I also wanted a normal coffee maker because the family usually drinks coffee throughout the day. After a lot of studying and research, I finally came across this coffee maker/espresso machine. It took me another few days, and caffeine withdrawal, before I bit the bullet and ordered the machine. Overall, I am rather pleased with the machine thus far. I made it a point to pay for the extended warranty because several of the reviews mentioned problems cropping up a month or more in. I have only used it for a month thus far and it seems to be working smoothly. There is a learning curve with the machine. A fairly steep one, if you are not familiar with running an espresso machine. My daughter is a barista so she gave me pointers. One of my bigger gripes is the user manual is detailed but lacks in a lot of places. One of the bigger ones is troubleshooting. The machine is persnickety. If its not very clean, it will produce bitter coffee. If the porta filter is not clean and squarely inserted, it will not finish a pull. A detailed cleaning insert in the manual would have been nice and saved me a lot of time and frustration. As far as cleaning goes. Always, ALWAYS, run a single shot pull without the porta filter to remove coffee grounds that may have snuck into the upper part of the machine. If this is not done every time you make a cup of espresso, the next pull will not finish, you will start it and it will stop mid cycle and reward you with a rapid flashing blue light. So, not only do you have to clean a hot machine, but you also wasted coffee. That is a wasteful lesson. I also strongly recommend running a soft bristle toothbrush along the upper plate after the cleaning run. Personally, I use the brush that came with my krups burr coffee grinder to do this, but any small brush will work. Wiping down the plate is also a good idea. Be careful, however, it is hot, scorched fingers take away the pleasure of a fresh brewed espresso drink. Cleaning the milk steamer wand and pour over coffee section is fairly straight forward. It is only the espresso components that seem so particular and prone to cycle failures. I make sure to clean everything down when I finish making my cup, its easier than trying to get dried steamed milk off the wand and drain plate. Another complaint I have is that the espresso is not hot enough after being brewed. It is easily solved by setting the cup in the microwave for 30 seconds while I am steaming my milk, but it is irksome to me. I think the coffee should be as hot as what is brewed in the pour over section. It is easy enough to work with so not a deal breaker for me but something perhaps that should be looked at by the company for ways to improve the machine. The pour over side is nice, does what it should, user friendly and brews a nice pot of coffee. The filter section comes out and is easy to wipe down and clean. I wash all the parts of the coffee machine by hand. If I recall correctly, only the coffee pot is dishwasher safe. I do not like the double click lid on the pour over side. Occasionally it sticks and takes some futzing to get it to work right. This could become a problem if it persists and ends up breaking. There has to be a better way to lock down the lid. Overall, I would recommend this espresso/coffee maker. It is an excellent option for those who like both pour over coffee and a good cup of coffee house espresso but cannot afford to buy two separate machines, nor have the counter space for them. Thus far, with a little care, it performs exactly as it should, produces good crema on each pull of fresh ground coffee and tastes lovely, no matter how its brewed.

Worked for 7 months...costs $115 to send back under warranty
Update: Item May be under a 1 year warranty, but it costs 1/2 the original price of the item to ship it back for repair......I recommend avoiding this item! I read a review from another reviewer that mirrors my experience. Espresso function was difficult to figure out the first time. Started making coffee in it Dec 25, 2019. Date of death: Jul 26, 2020. Just stopped making coffee. No noise. No sputtering. No nothing. DEAD. The carafe design is flawed and always spills coffee on the counter. So, it’s always best to pour it over the sink. I had a Krupps about 15 years ago that was similar that I loved and it lasted about 10 years. This was an expensive coffee maker that I really expected to last a lot longer than 7 months. Very disappointed.

Broke after a year of use
The first to go was the latte maker. Just stopped working. Then the drip coffee side stopped working. The machine would turn on but wouldn’t drip coffee. Not worth the money for how little use we got out of it

Works as described
This dual coffee make is replacing our third DeLonghi dual coffee maker. All three Delonghis eventually developed leaks when brewing espresso. After a brew, there would be water all over the counter, but the overflow basket was empty. That was the Delonghi. I really like the Espressione! The stainless looks very nice. The drip maker is pretty much standard. Easy to fill and flip a toggle and it brews. My wife does that side. I do the espresso side. I really like it. The basket handle is really heavy duty and will hold a single, double or pod basket. The water container is slightly more of a pain to refill than the DeLonghi, but not bad. You have to remove the basket and slide it out. Not too hard! There is only one boiler, but that has not been a problem. My wife brews her pot and leaves it on the warmer, then I turn the drip side off, and turn the espresso side on (There are 2 different switches). The espresso sides heats up rapidly. I really like that you can toggle a switch for either a single or double shot. What is even better is that you can program the shots for how much volume you want to dispense before it automatically shuts off. When I done doing my double shot, I turn the espresso side off and turn the drip side back on to keep the warmer on. I have not used the steamer at all, so I cannot comment on that. All in all I really like the machine. We have had it for about 3 weeks now with no problems. I hope it continues to be reliable.

Missing part / Terrible manufacturer customer service
I purchase this product for my wife for Christmas present. I purchased it November 28. My wife didn’t open it until Christmas. There was clearly a delay from using it due to the holiday. When we tried using it we noticed it was missing the 2 cup espresso filter. Amazons recommendation was to get the part from the manufacturer directly. When I reached out to them, they had zero intentions and showed zero effort in even TRYING to make it right. They simply said they don’t do anything on orders past 30 days. I explained to them the full context , and they continued to respond with single sentence responses and referring me to their website to purchase the missing piece. Zero acknowledgment of the issue or like I said, zero intentions of even trying to make this a reasonable experience for the consumer. The reason of posting this review is to warn the buyer of potential head aches when dealing with manufacturer. As for the product itself, the coffee machine side was decent. You’re better off spending 50-100$ more on a more reliable product. Read the reviews first. Do not buy this product.

Me llego incompleto.
Me vino incompleto, no viene el filtro de una taza ni tampoco la cuchara dosificadora para el expreso.
