ONE USE ONLY for patchouli scent.
I really wanted some Patchouli soap, I love the smell of that the soap leaves on my skin. However it is really clear to me that the manufacturers of this soap only put a drop of Patchouli on the soap after it is created and hardened....in fact I'm suspicious that oil is actually on the label on not on the soap at all. The initial smell of the soap is wonderful- just like patchouli but after the first use of the soap it never smells like patchouli again... In fact -once you remove the plastic around the soap, the smell almost completely dissipates. Clearly they add the patchouli oil/scent after the soap is made! The first time I used it, I could smell it mildly on my skin and then never again. It's has more of an olive/coco butter smell after that. It's not bad soap- just a bit of a rip off if you're expecting patchouli. I just feel for the price... I can get better soap that has patchouli scent through out the lifetime of the bar. Shame on Mountain Country Soap for not having a product true to it's name.

We used to buy this directly from the owner, I have talked to her on the phone. It’s a nice scent, good for the skin. I also like some of her other scents, lotion too.

I'm very picky about patchouli fragrances. This scent is perfect. Clean fresh not funky smelling , and they haven't skimped on the essential oil. Does not dry out hands and leaves them smelling wonderful. Price put me off a few months in ordering but have already reordered.

Clean refreshing feeling
I have been using this soap for quite some time. It leaves you feeling clean and fresh. The Patchouli scent is just right. I, mistakenly, tried another brand of Patchouli soap and was very disappointed. I recommend this product very highly. Another cool thing is that they send you a free sample of another product with every order.
