Works great and feel safer

Works well. I haven’t died of carbon monoxide poisoning yet so I think that’s a sign it is doing its job. It does make noise when you first plug it in and that alone spooked my dog, but it was loud enough to hear around the house (medium sized home) and I think it would be effective if it went off for a real emergency. I love that I can move it to where I need to as well.

This is great for travel. I use it in hotels and vacation rentals. Luckily I haven’t left it behind. Airplane safe in my carry on and checked luggage.

The CO monitors arrived on time and only need to be plugged into a wall outlet. Selecting the location for me required balancing my usage of wall outlets with where the monitor would best work. No tests were performed, or possible, with this monitor, unlike a smoke detector.

Provides another level of safety and security for our home. The LEDs are bright and the setup was quick and easy. The size allows me to put the detector in an unobtrusive spot in our home. Batttery life lives up to advert.

DO NOT PURCHASE!! THIS ALARM DOES NOT DETECT METHANE. Instead of buying this useless piece of plastic I should have just purchased the more expensive but better known Kidde brand alarms. In the basement of my two story home I have a natural gas hot water tank. My water tank failed and was replaced. However during the installation of the new hot water tank, the person installing it failed to properly secure the gas line to the tank. Approximately 4 hours after that individual left my home, I could smell natural gas in the 2nd story of the home. Gas was filling up the basement, first and second floor. Unbelievably this NONFUNCTIONING detector was installed in the basement and failed to notify me at any point of the extreme leak. The device is trash. Amazon should not allow sellers to use their marketplace as a platform to profit from the sale of fake non functioning products. I was horrified to find that this alarm didn’t work and am thankful that I was awake and smelled the gas leak. Thank god there wasnt a carbon monoxide leak, as my family and I would be dead and unable to warn fellow customers to buy a different product. I find it equally shocking that so many people have bought this device and they won’t really know if it works or not until it’s possibly too late.
