Awesome purchase and was worth it
Installed it after i replaced my hotend with a microswiss nozzle. Added some of the grease creality sends with the printer into the gears and never had a issue. My K1 max has been printing better since replacing the extruder and hasn't jammed yet. The factory one jammed up after the second print. I know others say it ain't worth it but i say it is worth it to atleast give it a try to see how it handles.

Absolute garbage
This does NOT fit the K1. The exit hole for the filament going out of the extruder doesn't line up with the print head stem, nor do the screws line up with the corresponding holes. This came with no instructions. I tried contacting the seller and the seller never got back to me. Stay away from this.

Creativity extruder
After installation was having issues with underextrusion. Took it back out to inspect and noticed filiment was getting shaved off. Ended up boring out the exit hole to 2.3mm and filed off sharp edges. Also lubricated the tensioner arm hinge because it was stiff and replaced the tensioner spring with stiffer one. Has been working well since. Not a bad product by any means. Just needs some basic machining to get it to perform as it should which can easily be done with a cordless drill and a bit. Took about 10mins to do. Not sure how the metal housing will affect long prints as it does get warm over time. Only used it with petg so far and was able to handle a 9hr print.

Works well after a problematic installation.
I got this to replace the stock extruder in my K1 Max. It had started jamming the filament just below the extruder gears. This addressed that problem after I got it installed & a bit of tuning. The problem I had was with the installation. there were basically 2 issues there. First off there were no instructions, and the extruder didn't fit w/o modifying the tool head. I was not too difficult to figure out, and I did manage to find a video on installing a similar extruder on YT, and that helped with the few parts I was questioning. But to further complicate things, there were a few screws left over, so I was not exuding confidence once I had it in. The second issue is the new extruder did not fit properly. The right side does not sit all the way in the tool head, so the screws did not line up. At first I thought the PTFE tube below the extruder was to tall for the new extruder, but when I pulled that out to test fit w/o it, the extruder still sat to high on the right. I finally figured out that the new extruder was deeper front to back, and the strain relief for the extruder motor was in the way. I wound up clipping that off, and it slipped right in to place. Once installed, there were 3 things that are worth mentioning when using it. First is the obvious, you need to tune the pressure used by the extruder. Not a big deal, but that's what screwed up my first test print. Second, there is no feed release like in the new extruder like the OEM one. When loading the filament you need to feed it thru using the extruder wheel. Finally, I managed to drop the Bowden tube clip on the top into the extruder twice. After fishing it out the 2nd time, I opted to just leave it off. So time will tell if this is worth it. But as of now, I'm pleased with the result.

Original worked well but this removed a lot of headaches. Bolts up perfectly and works very well. Easy install

Do not buy waste of money
Absolute junk just shreds the filament, printer was working great before I put this on, now it can barely print a benchy

Broke after a month of use. Twice.
Works fine for a while, but the extruder gears chipped an broke on 2 that I've owned. Would be solid if the gears didn't chip and break.
