Would this item withstand abuse from the airlines as a checked piece of luggage?

Mixed results. This is the brand the PX has been selling for like a decade plus overseas. I've shipped 8 of these home over 4 tours over the past 10 years, 3 of them survived no problems, 4 of them cracked or had small holes that I still use for storage in the shed now with duck tape over the problems, 1 was entirely ripped in half and my supplies were delivered in two trash bags lol. They really aren't that well made, pretty thin and quality is pretty low but they get the job done. If you are moving them yourself from ! all the way to B then yea they should be fine. Mailing them? See above lol
