The twin 12+1+1 phase digital VRM keeps things stable even with power-hungry 13th/14th gen Intel CPUs under load, no throttling, tight voltage regulation, and it runs surprisingly cool with the beefy heatsinks. DDR5 support is strong (up to high speeds with XMP), and you’ve got PCIe 5.0 x16 for your GPU, multiple M.2 slots (with thermal guards), Wi-Fi 6E + Bluetooth 5.3, 2.5GbE LAN, and a solid rear I/O packed with USB options including Gen2x2 Type-C. Q-Flash Plus is a lifesaver for BIOS updates without needing a CPU installed, and the EZ-Latch features make swapping GPUs or M.2 drives effortless. Here are a couple of clean shots of the board in action that black PCB with subtle accents looks sharp, especially paired with a modern case. No boot issues, no weird POST glitches, and it’s been completely stable through heavy gaming, productivity, and stress tests. The BIOS is straightforward (especially after updates), and Gigabyte’s software for fan/RGB control integrates nicely. If you’re building around LGA 1700 and want a reliable, feature-packed Z790 without overspending, the Eagle AX is a no-brainer. This board can handle i7 easily but if your expecting over locking top notch performance might u feel little disappointment due lu less vrm capacity
