JORGENSEN 45° Chamfer Plane with 4 Cutter Heads for Quick Wood Trimming

Excellent little chamfer tool. Feels solid and weighty. Razor sharp blade that has held up well. Comes with a straight (45°) blade and 3 radius blades for rounded corners stored in the handle. It does come with a warning to adjust the depth gradually and you need to take this advice - a single turn of the screw per pass is more than enough. I've bought a few of these Jorgensen tools lately and they are all excellent quality.

Works really well at small chamfering jobs or roundovers. Safer and more convenient than the router table

This is a great little tool that fits right in your hand! The blades are sharp out the box, and there is a handy blade storage under the handle! I've tried this tool on pine and walnut and works great on both. The only thing I would say is other branded tools have more blades for a bit more money which may be better value than this , but I can't comment that one's performance.

Brilliant little tool - and the hidden storage for all the extra blades is so tidy. As a DIY-er, I have used JORGENSEN Chamfer Plane on some scaffolding boards to try and give them a nices edge and shave the area where the staples were embedded. Very satisfying working with it (outdoors, full face coverage due to splinters and small shavings flying around)

I originally bought the slightly more expensive item that has many reviews. I returned that item twice, first because a screw was sitting proud and the next because a loose screw did not even screw in, poor quality control. On receiving this item I was impressed immediately by the quality of build, far better than the one I returned. The blades are very robust and sharp out of the box and the additional blades are conveniently housed in the body of the tool. The cutting is also far better that the other item. I would strongly recommend this tool for any level of woodworker.

Excellent piece of kit and far superior to a cheaper one I was given for the job. Really works great but you do need to take your time and get a feel for the material you’re working with. The different blades are well stored in the body. The tool is nice and heavy and ergonomically shaped. The adjustment of the blades is very accurate and efficiently measurable on the gauge as you work. One negative, the metal is not sealed with and will leave a residue on wood as you work. It needs a good wipe as you go.

Does the job but practice before use as it need fine tuning for depth

Reasonably straightforward to use, when you go right way for the wood grain. Best to do small cuts. Quite sharp, not sure how easy will be to sharpen blades.

Ich bin mit dem Kantenhobel von JORGENSEN sehr zufrieden. Zwar bin ich kein Profi-Handwerker, aber aus meiner Sicht erfüllt das Produkt seine Aufgabe hervorragend. Die Klingen sind scharf und schneiden sauber und präzise. Besonders gut gefällt mir die fein justierbare Höheneinstellung der Klinge, die sich mit einer Rändelmutter leicht anpassen lässt. Das Klingenwechseln ist schnell und unkompliziert. Der Hobel selbst ist gut verarbeitet, liegt gut in der Hand und hat ein massives, robustes Gehäuse. Praktisch ist auch das Fach im Handgriff, in dem die Ersatzklingen ordentlich verstaut sind. Nach rund zwei Wochen intensiver Nutzung kann ich sagen, dass ich dieses Gerät für meine Zwecke jederzeit wieder kaufen würde. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

A truly satisfying purchase. Look at Jorgensen and feel what a quality and value tool is. I must admit I got this plane so I would stop abusing my Veritas planes. The trouble with loving a tool can be not wanting to recognize both its limitations and overqualifications. It's not that the Veritas plane will not do the job, but it feels like tool abuse. A car analogy would be: don't use your Porsche as a daily driver. But you definitely need something better than an cheap import, You want something more solid and rugged than a Corvette or Cadillac. So maybe a German car.... Okay the limits for my analogy have been hit. My ex often accused me of taking an analogy to far. Is that what a marriage is for a relationship? I wanted a plane and potentially a brand that is rugged, more commercial. It was not until I opened the box that the nagging feeling of brand recognition kicked in. When I picked up the included sticker and saw the word 'PONY that I finally recalled my shop class tools. This plane fits perfectly in my hand with excellent weight and balance. Simple and solid, it is precise. This will be tool I will love to use. This will be a tool to outlive me and a tool I will want to pass on. My Veritas will require re-homing as I seek cremation thus burial with me is out.

Zastanawiam się czy na polski rynek nie trafiają produkty o obniżonej jakości. Po.wadliwych szybkościskach teraz mocno niedopracowany strug. Tylko fabrycznie włożone ostrze ma właściwy wymiar. Wszystkie pozostale nie mieszczą się w prowadnicy. Konieczne było przeszlifowanie boków na papierze ściernym. A funkcjonalnie wygrawerowana miara na ostrzach jest absolutnie niewidoczna więc ustawiać trzeba doświadczalne. Ale kolor obudowy ma ładny. Szkoda, że to nie on "robi robotę".
