I've been using this for a couple days now. It's very fast and produces these bullet shaped ice cubes every few minutes. Everyone in the house is addicted to ice drinks, i.e. iced coffee or iced tea. We were spending so much on ice after the ice maker in my refrigerator had broken. This little guy is already saving money and the return on investment will be in no time. The ice will also fit inside most soda bottles.

I love it because it makes more than the regular icemakers. Also, it has a clean so I don't have to take it apart and clean it. Great taste and it makes 2 sizes of ice.

i just plugged this costway ice maker in this morning. it made a lot of ice fairly quickly but there was a problem. when it got full of ice and there was ice between little sensor bulbs it should have cut off. it made another batch of ice and some fell of back of ice paddle and i was afraid it would tear something up. i noticed that it was setting under a bright light and suspected this might be the problem.. my son put a piece of aluminum foil over the clear plastic lid to block out light and it started working great. the ice full light would come on and it would stop making ice until i took some ice out. i hate returning things so i decided to just leave aluminum foil on lid. i hope it lasts longer than my previous two nugget ice makers. i think one lasted 3 months and the other lasted 4 months. I do not think nugget ice makers last very long. if this lasts a year or two i will be very happy. i love ice. p.s. if you open the lid to peek in and light hits the sensor, it will make another batch of ice even if it is already full..so if you try the aluminum foil over the lid, do not open the lid unless you take some out or rake the ice back into basket to make more room.

At first this ice maker worked perfect. After about 2 weeks it started making a very loud clicking sound. After contacting the manufacturer it was determined that the gear was slipping. The process to determine this took a couple of weeks and once the problem was diagnosed I was instructed that it would take 30 days to receive the replacement part and I would receive a video on how to do the repairs myself.While customer service was helpful I feel that with the price and how quickly it broke I should have been offered a replacement for the ice maker.After waiting for more than 30 days I contacted the company again and requested a new unit. They responded quickly and within 2 business days I received a tracking number for my replacement. I'll update again once the new unit arrives.

Love it the first one was not working and bulky. This one is great and makes ice very fast

The price of bagged ice is insane! I decided to see if making my own ice was going to make it cost worthy. This makes soon much ice in 24 hours. I mean you are not going to sit there bagging I e the whole time but if you consistently empty and refill it during your waking hours then you will have enough ice . I bagged it in one gallon bags and kept it in the freezer for a camping trip. It lasted 3 days in our cooler so we only had to seen 4 dollars on a small bag for rhe rest of the trip as opposed to 30 for a full cooler at rhe start. It's quiet and really only makes noise when the ice drops. Love it. I would highly recommend this size if you are looking to use it for coolers and parties or just for a steady flow of ice.
