YOTUO 1TB External Hard Drive, Portable Storage Expansion HDD, USB 3.0 & USB-C for PC, Mac, Desktop, Laptop, Smartphone, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Office & Game, White

This little drive has been a lifesaver! I needed extra storage for my photos, work files and to free up space on my laptop, and this 500GB YOTUO drive does the job perfectly. Design & Portability: It's super compact, lightweight and slim. Literally fits in my pocket or purse. The black matte finish is sleek and it feels well-built, not cheap plastic. It comes with the USB cable included which is great, plug and play. Performance & Speed: I was surprised by how fast it is! I transferred over 100GB of photos and videos in a very short time. No lag, no noise. I've used it with my Windows laptop and also with my PS4 to store games and it works flawlessly on both. It was recognized immediately without needing to install anything. Compatibility: Works straight out of the box. I use it for my PC, but also tested it on a Mac and it works after a quick format. Perfect for students, work, backing up your phone/laptop, or for gaming storage. Value: For 500GB, the price is excellent. It's much more reliable than using cheap USB sticks for important backups. I feel safe knowing all my memories and documents are backed up here. If you need affordable, portable, and fast extra storage, this is a great choice. Highly recommended! 5 stars.

Bought two to copy files, pics, and vid off my phone two days ago, to "make sure I had at least one good backup copy". Copied images from phone. Deleted files from phone. Neither drive shows up on my laptop right now. Scanned drives before using, made sure it had been ok to remove drives. Waste of money and permanently lost family videos. Should have read reviews. I'll keep trying to got one of them to connect.

YOTUO external hard drive id easy to set up and use. I highly recommend it, especially that is is offered at a good price. The compact size allows for versatility, and connectivity is easy and straight forward. I can recommend this product.

Well-built. This drive has some heft to it and feels to be made of quality stuff. Effortless plug n play. Excellent value and a nice little portable with some serious disc space. Speed seems good. I copied over a hundred gigs worth of photos and video in like 15 minutes.

I’ve been using the YOTUO 1TB External Hard Drive mainly for photography work, and it’s been a straightforward and reliable way to store and back up my images. Transfer speeds over USB 3.0 are decent—nothing extreme, but fast enough for moving large batches of photos without it feeling slow or frustrating. It works right away with my computer, and I haven’t had any issues with it disconnecting or corrupting files so far. The size is a big plus. It’s small, lightweight, and easy to throw in a camera bag, which makes it convenient when I’m on the go or shooting events and need extra storage. For photography specifically, it’s great as a backup drive or for offloading SD cards. It’s not an SSD, so it’s not the fastest thing out there, but for the price and capacity, it gets the job done. The only downside is that it doesn’t feel super rugged, so I try to handle it carefully since it’s something I rely on for important files. Overall, it’s a solid budget-friendly external drive for photographers or anyone needing simple extra storage without spending a lot.

I have only been using it for one day now, I will tell you it is just a plug & play just plug it in on the usb port on your computer or usb-c on you phone it is just that easy. I moved several files off my computer and put them into the external HD there is so much memory space I do not think I will use it all. It is small and easy to backup my computer.

I’m very happy with the YOTUO 500GB external hard drive. It’s compact, lightweight, and easy to use, making it convenient for storing and transferring photos, videos, documents, and other files. The setup was simple, and I like that it’s portable enough to take anywhere. It offers plenty of storage space for everyday use and works well for backing up important files. Overall, it’s a great value for the price and a useful addition to my devices.

At first, this drive was everything I had hoped it would be. It had the storage capacity I needed at a very attractive price point. All of my peers with more experience dealing with computer hardware advised against purchasing a drive and trusting my data with an unknown company. I thought surely their advice was outdated and that today's newest hardware was better across the board. I should have listened. Initially, this drive performed admirably. It arrived quickly, looked and felt both attractive and high quality. It was easy to set up, the form factor was portable, and it was good to go in a matter of minutes. True plug and play. I formatted it as an automatic backup for my computer (Apple Time Machine), and it worked fine--for a few weeks. Then, right after 30 days had passed (and the Amazon return window had closed), the drive began having trouble mounting to the computer and exhibited a characteristic noise repeatedly. Spin....click, spin....click, repeatedly, about every second or two. For a few days, unplugging and reconnecting the drive physically made the problem go away, but now it is completely bricked. I'm fortunate that no critical data was lost, as it was backed up elsewhere, but the fact remains that I spent money on a drive that worked for a month and quit. I tried contacting the company directly, explaining the situation, but I never heard back from them. I give this drive two stars because it did work fine initially, and perhaps I received the unlucky rare bad drive of the lot. Your mileage may vary. But I would NOT recommend this drive or this brand at all. It is a risky buy, and I would recommend sticking to other known brands, even if they cost a bit more.

Product ok, but received White instead of black despite after doing replacement

Hopeless product. Worked just for 1 day !!

So far it's amazing let's see how long it lasts.

It didn’t work, Kept crashing my games.

Well I was in the middle of trying to decide to send it back after reading some stuff on google I figured out how to get it to reformat so I could actually copy videos and pictures to from the MacBook Air M1 I’m happy with this purchase
