I like how this Mucinex works. It helped me quite a bit. I do wish the directions told me what the best duration of every 12 hours is most beneficial. Should I take it for a day? 5 days? 10? I’d really like to know.

I always use Mucinex when I'm congested and coughing, but really need the extra strength. The 12 hour tablets are the absolute best because I really don't enjoy taking a lot of medicine, but with Mucinex, all I typically need is one a day.

I tend to go from a cold to chest cold quickly. At the first sign I start a regiment and avoid it progressing.

This is a great product. Though I am not very sure of taking it w/o consulting a doctor first. It loosens up mucus but coughing up and removing it may not always be possible. So other medication may be required if the chest congestion persists like it did in my case. Always consult a doctor first!
