reMarkable 2 Book Folio – Black Leather

Great product.

Like a few other reviewers here at the time I was ordering this product I thought I was ordering the tablet, not just a case. Given so many of us did so indicates some issue with clarity in the product description which I sincerely hope has been resolved as these are expensive errors even with our free product that is “only” taxed. I took a while to review this thing as I was hoping I’d eventually get the tablet proper so I could fully review the case, but since I haven’t I can’t do the case itself full justice beyond stating the obvious, that this is a very fine case. I’ll give it 4 stars for being its quality self but no case should cost this much ever unless it’s titanium encrusted in jewels.

If you earn $250k+ a year, you don't need to read beyond the next sentence. This is a really nice folio and if you buy it, you will be ecstatic with what you receive. If you are a member of the 99% however, you should absolutely not buy this folio as there are a myriad of third party options on this very website that are legitimately nice and cost 1/5 to 1/10th what this costs. It's simply silly. I've reviewed a couple myself. I don't know how they're getting away with charging half the price of the tablet for a folio, but I hope people don't fall for it. It is, however, in a bubble, a nice folio, hence the two stars instead of one.

Extremely overpriced. That said, it is a nice case. It’s about the same quality as the leather folios you used to (and may still) buy for iPads and Kindles. However, it’s exponentially more expensive, and the quality isn't superior. I understand this is a startup, but it still feels a bit unfair. It seems like big investors are making big investor money while the product doesn’t justify the high price.

The ReMarkable is a beautiful little piece of engineering and you'd want a sturdy case to carry it around in that is just as slim and elegant as it is. This case did not disappoint. Beautiful fine leather and impeccable details. A great but pricey way to protect your investment.
