Junior Baseball Print Magazine

Ok, I'm a little biased because I had articles published in this magazine, but the reason I did is because I loved the whole flavor of JB. It's geared toward kid/teen players, parents and coaches. There is usually a feature interview with an MLB player, written to appeal to kids. There are lots of tips on how to pitch, bat, protect yourself from injury, conduct yourself in sportsmanlike manner, etc. One example: an excellent article on how to research schools if your child is interested in playing college ball. Sports Illustrated it's not, but it doesn't need to be. It really hits the mark with the audience it is going for.

I found this magazine on the Amazon Web-site and decided to take out a shorter subscription to see if he liked it. He sure did. He is 7-1/2 years old and loves baseball. After the first issue, he is already asking me to please keep getting it for him. He loves the tips, etc. from the big league players that he recognizes from games on TV. Very excellent magazine for boys, and maybe girls, who are playing and getting interested in baseball. Also contains some interesting puzzles, etc. to give it great variety.

This is the second year I have bought this for my grandson. He actually reads the articles and has used some of the suggestions to improve his game. I have also given it to another grandson and his dad is an Official within the Little League System and he reads the magazine as well. He actually recommended it for another season. It was not a waste of my money!

The boys like it. It gets them to read.

Lightweight content but may be appropriate for very young players

This is a great kids magazine for the baseball lover in your house. My little buddy is 8 and I have given him this gift for the last 2 years and it really helped to improve his reading skills because he wanted to know everything in the magazine!
