I have no idea if the test is accurate or not. I can say that this thing is £80 cheaper than others. And it's very easy to use. My test was negative.You should be aware that it openly admits that even a negative result does not mean no bacteria that could cause legionnaires. It's only capable of finding the strains responsible for 90% of the infections.But it's cheap enough to confirm what you thought the result would be. If you want to know for sure....it costs more and best way is to get a specialist in.

Easy to follow instructions and the process is very similar to that of those covid tests.So I did the test on the water in the hot water tank as this is one area that can be an issue. The test was ok so for that part I am happy. At £20 a shot, this would not be something that I would be doing a lot but may be if I wanted to make certain changes to water pipe flow then this is something that I would use to test.

I have an old aircon unit that was causing me concern over what might be lurking in it, and aircon is a prime candidate for legionella developing. It likes warm, damp places to breed, and it can also be a problem in pipework that does not reach a sufficiently high temperature. This is one reason why long, un-lagged runs of hot water pipe are a bad idea, quite apart from wasting money on the heat loss.Using this test is easy, and it works in the same way as the lateral flow covid tests that we all became familiar with. The result is easy to see, and only takes half an hour to obtain, from start to finish. This is way cheaper than calling out a specialist in the first instance, but if you do obtain a positive result, you will need professional advice to eradicate the problem. My test result was negative, thankfully.Five stars.

I used this kit to check on a water tank in the loft that had been left idle for a few weeks.I was glad to see that the test was negative and all that was needed was a light cleaning and a flush through before the tank was definitely safe.I recommend these kits if you are in any doubt about your drinking waters safety especially if you are moving into a property that has been empty for a while, It's good to have the peace of mind it can provide.The instructions are easy to follow and very clear and the test only takes 25 mins total to conduct.

The tests a easy to perform and very similar to COVID LT tests. Swab the area of interest, add to the vial solution, then drip into the well. 25 mins later you have a result.I have no way to tell if it is accurate and at £20 a go I'm not going to do many tests, but at least the test I did was negative.

Can't speak to the validity of the results as so far only tested negative sources. Ideal for when you go on holiday to a rented house, home or abroad.
