Is it worth it?
The best smartwatch in almost every category. I use it mostly for tracking sleep, running, biking and golfing and so far it has blown me away. It is extremely accurate and with very heavy usage the battery lasts for weeks. Lots of different watch face options as well as bands available, I have on a titanium band. Insanely durable and just an all around amazing watch. I personally like the MIP display since it's always on and during the day I never need to use the light, the display is plenty bright enough. On the wrist it has a very premium look with the sapphire lens and titanium bezel. Size wise It's definitely on the bigger side of watches at 51mm but with that you also get the bigger battery. It's not too heavy tho, I think it feels just right. Very easy to learn how to use, either coming from an Apple watch or something else the software is very user friendly. It's pretty pricey at around $1,199 but I believe it is well worth the investment if you are someone who takes your health and well being seriously.

Serious powerful outdoor powerhouse of a tool
Awesome tool that has grown on me vs Apple Watch Coming from the Apple Watch Ultra I wanted a smartwatch that had extended battery life and gps features that didn’t require phone connection and that also had topo graphic view format with water/weather indications on the gps map feature. So far I’ve done multiple hikes and scuba adventures these past few weeks and I can say that this watch really shines for the hardcore outdoorsman. I wanted the solar 47mm option so it would not be so bulky on my wrist. I opted for the solar option so I could extended the battery life in real-world scenarios. The display is perfect for sunny days and outdoor activities. One key feature that I did not anticipate liking so much was the Garmin connect app. You can find tons of hikes local to your area and also map your own trails which makes getting out there super easy! This could be pretty cool if you are an avid cyclist or runner and want to find/build/track your exact distances for a coordinated route and monitor your progress as simple as looking at your watch. One feature that I really wish was available for the fenix 8 was the ability to use air integration for scuba diving. However I believe that feature is only available on one of the other scuba specific watches made by Garmin. The menu is not as intuitive as the Apple Watch Ultra, however once you spend some time with the watch you will quickly overcome that small learning curve. The Apple Watch Ultra is still a useful tool if you are going on sub 2 day adventures or working in an environment that needs features such as the walkie talkie or picture messaging directly to your watch but I feel much more confident wearing garmins Fenix 8 47mm solar on my wrist for real deal outdoorsman situations. Both watches have a place on my nightstand but the Garmin is a beast that keeps on going with battery life measured in days not hours.

Durable and feature packed!
My husband ordered the Garmin Fenix, and he absolutely loves it! The first thing that stood out was the durability — the sapphire face is tough and scratch-resistant, which gives him peace of mind wearing it every day. The build feels solid and high quality, exactly what you’d expect from Garmin. The features are incredible. He uses the GPS often and says it’s very accurate, and the variety of health tracking options (heart rate, sleep, activity, etc.) make it a great all-around tool for fitness and daily life. The battery life is also impressive, lasting much longer than his previous smartwatch. Overall, this watch is worth every penny. Between the rugged durability, advanced features, and sleek design, it’s been one of his favorite purchases. If you’re considering investing in a smartwatch that can handle it all, this is the one to get!

Amazing watch with amazing features
We purchased this watch for our son's 24th birthday. He is not into materialistic goods in life, but does appreciate great technology. He has only had $5-30 cheap and often knock-off watches in his entire life and I wanted to get him a watch that he would use to the fullest. The watch is amazing with useful features and features that are most certainly overkills. Extremely low battery consumption, solar charging, health/exercise monitoring (almost like a helicopter parent), flashlight, GPS, and tons of other features seem to have already won him over. The reliability, waterproof built, and over-the-air updates will also be great for extended use. We hope that he might be inspired to perspire a bit more in his life toward a fitter and healthier physique and lifestyle (we are a disgrace to any outdoor activity through generations). I have been told that the watch can be useful if he/his group gets lost while hiking in remote areas. It is an extremely expensive watch (we could have bought ~40-50 knock-off 'smart' watches for this price) and he is still a bit uncomfortable to wear it. Otherwise, it is an awesome piece of technology.

The best wearable device
Garmin fēnix® 8 – 47 mm, Solar, Sapphire is probably the best wearable device. I purchased this model to replace Endure 3, which is bulky and has only one advantage - it keeps charge for 50% longer than this model. The fēnix® 8 – 47 mm looks much more like a watch, the screen is large enough, but the device does not look huge like the Enduro. Buttons are very nice on touch.

Tolle Uhr, trage seit Fenix 5 nix Anderes, die Farbe muss man sich im Vorfelde überlegen, das Armband lässt sich leicht tauschen, daß Plättchen vorne nicht.

The watch is great! It's has MIP display (not AMOLED) which comes with solar charging. The first watch I got had an issue with the backlight, no difference between 5% to 100% brightness. I contacted Amazon support and they sent me a replacement in less than 24 hours. The new watch glows as it should when the backlight is on. Good sport watch, good customer service.

Garmin does not disappoint. I truly believe this is the best smart watch in the market for an active person. I do not notice it on my wrist. Amazing battery life. Excellent futures.

Really good product, I’ve been using Garmin for the longest time and if you’re into a lot of sports and want along battery life, the Garmin Fenix edition is to go I chose the solar edition due to the battery life. I would say it’s definitely worth the money.
