Garden 108 is a Fantastic Alternative to Hendricks
Lots of people do not drink for various reasons. Pregnancy, being a designated driver, a personal or family history of alcoholism, inability to metabolise alcohol, weight loss, sorting out hormone imbalance, cancer, liver issues etc... The list can be quite long and varied. So anyone who wonders what the point of this drink must live a very secluded life. It DOES NOT taste like flavoured water. It definitely tastes like a botanical spirit, but without the sharp bite of alcohol behind it, if that makes sense. Personally, I wanted to stop drinking during the week because I felt it was not a healthy habit. But non-alcoholic/low-alcoholic wine is awful and I don't like juice or soft drinks. I do however like a Hendricks & tonic. I didn't bother with the Seedlip drinks until I ordered one when we were at a Sunday lunch where I was designated driver. It was so delicious I ordered my first bottle of Garden when I got home. I must admit I haven't even tried the other flavours because this one makes me so happy and allows me to continue my evening ritual of preparing a G&T with a slice and squeeze of lime without the calories, sleep interference and general habitual use that alcohol causes. I switch back to Hendricks and/or Gordons on the weekend and find no difficulty in switching between the two. Both are delicious and it is a great product. My only complaint is that it wasn't around when I was pregnant...I remember thinking if I had to drink another Fentiman's Rose Lemonade I'd barf. A nice mildly bitter, botanical proper grown up drink like Seedlip would have been much better.

I love it!!
I love everything about this product, from the glass bottle it is in, the design of the labels are beautiful and well thought out to the clear calorie free, sugar free liquid inside. This is an amazing drink and I really do love it - the Seedlip Spice is a warming drink but DO NOT JUST ADD WATER. No it is not gin - it does not taste like gin - it does not confess to tasting like gin so do not buy it if you want it to taste like gin.. I drink Seedlip 94 with Teisseire 0% sugar pink grapefruit and sparkling water in a tall glass and it is really delicious! The Seedlip 108 is also a lovely drink - again - not a gin! I add Teisseire 0% elderflower syrup, sparkling water and ice. I have not tried any with tonic water as I do not want to add any sugar and yes the price is a little high however this is a not your common cordial - you do not slug it down because you are thirsty - it is a drink to enjoy and savor and the enjoy the time that has been spent making this drink. As you can tell I am a great fan and will be buying more especially as they are on offer and the next one to try will be Seelip 42 which I think will go well with the Teisseire 0% Sugar Passion fruit - looking forward to it! Highly recommend and hope you enjoy ...

Definitely worth trying if you want an alcohol-free alternative
Better than real gin? No A real alternative to gin that's better than many other options? Yes! I decided to have a period of total abstinence from alcohol (it's so common in Irish society you sometimes lose perspective on it) but during that time I wanted some 'adult' drinks that were an alternative to sugary or sweet non-alcoholic alternatives out there. I already really like tonic water but I also wanted something to jazz it up and add a bit of flavour and variety so I got both the Spice and Garden variants of the Seedlip Drinks. On balance I think I preferred the Garden version (like a slightly 'grassy' gin really) but the Spice version was also nice and it could have some interesting uses in the run up to Christmas. I wasn't keen on it neat or over ice but I wouldn't drink alcoholic spirits that way either (and am not a big spirits drinker overall). I shared it with many friends and relatives and most of them enjoyed it a lot, with an interesting split of partiality as between the Spice and Garden versions. I'd love to see what else the Seedlip Drinks company could come up with.

Tasty but expensive price leaves a bad taste
We found this a tasty gin substitute in G&T. It’s fresh, crisp and very juniper-like (not in the ingredients so assume there’s no actual juniper in it). It does have a hint of peas - that doesn’t sound appealing but surprisingly it really is - it works. 3* only as I can see no other reason for the high price is the targeting of it as a premium product and the people behind it looking to make a fat profit. Its 99% spring water and has no alcohol duty levied in it for goodness sake. That price leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I much prefer the American ‘halve the price and sell twice as much’ attitude to our British reassuringly expensive nonsense. I’ll drink 10x less of it as a result. A shame.

Used to be fantastic... then bought 2 dud bottles!
My partner and I have been drinking this for years (never drink and drive). First discovered it at The Ivy. We often buy a bottle when it's on offer (here at Amazon and elsewhere). It had the most gorgeous, heady botanical flavour - excellent with tonic or elderflower. At the beginning of the year I got a bottle on Amazon that was utterly undrinkable! The date embossed on the bottom of the bottle did not make any sense. Exactly the same thing happened with another bottle purchased elsewhere. The taste was weak, medicinal and decidedly 'off'. I wrote an email to Seedlip, got an automated reply that they would be in touch within 5 days, but heard nothing thereafter. Can they really afford to lose customers?

Fantastic, subtle,grown-up, non alcoholic drink
I have recently cut down on alcohol and have been trying lots of non alcoholic alternatives with some good and some bad results. I dithered about ordering Seedlip 108 due to the price and polarised reviews but I'm glad I did. The flavour is subtle - herby, earthy a mixture of sweet and sour. Mixed with tonic it's a fabulous alternative to an alcoholic spirit with tonic. The other good thing is that unlike most non and low alcohol drinks, it is calorie free - so a bonus if you have cut down on alcohol to try and lose weight. I liked it so much I have ordered its twin (Seedlip 94) to try next. The only downside is the price but I guess that is mainly due to low volume production.

Something different
I love this stuff. I drink it with a good chunk of lemon, a splash of slimline tonic, a splash of soda and a shake of Angostura. Ice cubes. Feels like a grown up drink for people with sophisticated palates. Very grassy with a pea flavour. Judging by some of the reviews it's not for everyone, but there is nothing quite like it. Definitely not an alcohol substitute, but a distinct drink. Pity it's so expensive, but I note it's come down in price. The bottle and marketing is very clever, so you feel you are having something special, but I'm sure the profit margin must be huge for distilled water!
