Cool looking case/ maybe not as durable as expected
Love it hate it ! Looks cool and somewhat durable. Mine fell apart/ broke. Actually kind of blame Apple as the 16. Has an extra button to take pictures with and this makes the case only have limited protection in that area and it is definitely a weak spot. Bought this as a replacement for the first one. So like it enough to give them a second chance.

SAVE YOUR MONEY
Junk. Should have never switched from otter box when I got my new phone. With pelican being a good brand on many other things I thought I could trust it. It’s broken twice now in multiple spots. Camera button on right side. Charge port. The action button on the top left. All these spots have broken because the plastic is too thin. I’ve use the warranty once. 4 months after I got it. This time it’s broken again same spots….At least I got 6 months out of the new one. But still it’s definitely defective in those areas and I wish I could get my money back. It hasn’t even been a year of using it.

Excellent, but be aware it prioritizes lightweight over protection
This case is so thin and light that I almost keep thinking it isn’t there. Fits perfectly and the extra magnet material solves a lot of “MagSafe” difficulty with other cases. Very very easy to install. Buttons all work as though there’s no case over them. Perfect quality, basically. The increased rim height around the camera lenses is a very good feature since most cases are inadequate in that area. The only thing to be aware of is that, given the lightness of the case, it can’t possibly have the maximum protective value available, but this trade off is ok for me because I’m not prone to dropping my phone. (I’ve never had a cracked screen protector since they were invented, and I don’t work on a construction site.) It will prevent scratches though and should be good enough to usually prevent damage from the usual hand held heights. That’s the sort of design tradeoff use case it’s for.

70+MPH Freeway fall. un damaged phone and case!
While driving towards the freeway, I inadvertently left my iPhone with THIS protective case on top of my car. As I accelerated, the phone remained securely positioned until I reached speeds exceeding 70 miles per hour. During this period, the phone number fell off my car and the case and rolled several times before coming to rest in the middle of the freeway. Remarkably, the phone remained undamaged throughout the incident. It continued to ping its location until I was able to safely retrieve it. I was astounded by the resilience of this phone case and the phone’s complete absence of any damage. The only component that required replacement was a small screen protector that had covered the camera lens. To this day, I continue to utilize the case for its protective capabilities.

Good case, but doesn't last long
I am a big fan of Pelican cases and have used them for many years to carry laptops, electronics, firearms, and more - I currently have five of them in my house and we have several at work. So when I got a new iPhone 16 Pro Max in November I was happy to see this great looking Pelican phone case to fit it. At $70 it was expensive - twice the price of my usual Otterbox Commuter case that I've put on my last half dozen work & personal phones - but I figured it was Pelican quality so it would last a long time and be worth it. The thing arrived and is a beautiful piece. It's a pretty significant case, looks great and seems to offer great protection. The carbon fiber panel on the back looks real too. Unfortunately it is a little slippery in the hand especially if you're sweating - it needs to be more tactile/offer better purchase somehow. Also more importantly it does not seem to be very tough? In just four months mine has a couple cracked plastic bits, plus the carbon fiber on the back is discolored and worn looking ONLY where my index finger goes when holding the phone up to my ear. The aforementioned Otterbox Commuter case for half the price would've lasted a lot longer - I have one on my work phone that is at least a year and a half old and is in way better shape than this four month old Pelican. Long story short it's a good case but is definitely not living up to the Pelican toughness I'm used to. I will not be ordering another one, I'm going back to Otterbox instead. UPDATE: they sent me a new one in February (3 months in) under warranty. I put it on the phone and now four months later it's doing the same thing - visible wear on the carbon fiber just from holding/using the phone. Back to Otterbox I guess. Pretty sad, Pelican used to be super high quality stuff...

Only lasts about a month
Used to love pelican products however….. this case will only last about one month. Purchased this one on Amazon about a month later the rubber on the sides started to separate from the plastic sides. I called Pelican because they do have a lifetime warranty, I sent them the order number from Amazon and they told me I didn’t buy it from a Pelican authorized retailer. They agreed to send me one as a replacement but there will not be a warranty on the replacement product. I put the new one on my phone and within a month AGAIN, the rubber separated from the outer shell. I threw it in the trash and order a different brand. Pelican phone cases are not worth the money.

The Pelican Voyager Case for iPhone 16 Pro Max is hands-down one of the most rugged and dependable phone cases I've ever used. It offers serious protection without feeling overly bulky, and it delivers on every promise for durability and functionality. Protection: With 18-foot military-grade drop protection, this case is built like a tank. The contoured sides and raised edges do a great job protecting the screen and camera during accidental drops or bumps. I’ve already had one clumsy moment where my phone hit pavement — not even a scratch. MagSafe Compatibility: This is where the case really shines. Out of all the MagSafe-compatible cases I’ve tried, this one has the best MagSafe implementation by far. The magnets are strong and reliable — whether I'm attaching a charger, wallet, or mounting it in my car, it locks in securely every time. No slipping, no misalignment. Design & Usability: It’s a heavy-duty case, so expect a tight fit — removing it definitely takes more effort than usual. You'll need to pry and wiggle a bit to get your phone out, but that's honestly reassuring when it comes to protection. It means the case won’t come loose easily. Extras: The included belt clip holster is a nice touch for those who prefer carrying their phone on their waist — secure and practical for active or professional environments.
