Got 4x HGST 1T hard drives to store my lab data. Tested using HD Tune software, reassigned volume and formatted using disc management tool. All of 4 working perfectly. Although they were produced in 2015-2016 but still in good quality. Very impressed, recommend!

Is makes a fairly loud ticking noise but I soon got used to it. So far it is working perfectly though, no problems to report on yet

Anyone who remembers the infamous "IBM Deathstar" fiasco will be wary of Hitachi (now "HGST") hard drives, since Hitachi subsequently bought IBM's hard drive division, and even continued using the "deskstar" brand for a while, despite its reputation being sunk by defective products. Well times have changed, a lot, and now Hitachi (or "HGST") drives are widely regarded to be the most reliable on the planet. So says enterprise customers like Google, which goes through tens of thousands of these things every year, and of all drive models the HGST's consistently have the lowest failure rates. Not as good as SSD, but then a 1TB SSD costs nearly £300, whereas this is only £50.

Great hard drive for a great price. A fantastic replacement for the Playstation 4. Would recommend!

Purchased this drive for my PS4 as its the same manufacturer as my original 500gb HDD it was very easy to fit go to Sony website for instructions on fitting and saving your game saves,it's very quit and I would highly recommend if your thinking of upgrading your PS4 HDD the only pain during this upgrade is reinstalling all your Game Software it takes forever and you might go over your Broadband limit if your not on unlimited so install your favourites 1st.

Fitted in a ps4 slim, no formatting needed, I'm no expert and all was up and running in 20 minutes. Great product easy installation. I've now got a very happy child who can use his ps4 again.

J'ai acheté ce produit suite au changement de disque dur de mon ordinateur portable HP. Ce disque dur est identique à celui qui était installé mais avec une plus grande capacité de stockage. Adaptable à la perfection, mon ordinateur remarche et est comme neuf. Je suis très contente de cet achat qui m'a permis de réparer mon ordinateur à moindre frais.

bam! value. shoved this in an old 2.5" enclosure and enjoyed good USB 3.0 performance. No issues whatsoever.
