Q: What is the maximum temperature you can use either this pan?

The pan is all aluminum. I think it would tolerate up to 450 degrees F or more. At a higher temp than 450 degrees F, it may expand or contract or change shape but I think you could still use it afterward. However the highest temp I have used it for so far is 375 degrees F. The rolled edge has steel wire under the rim to give it strength. I love this pan for baking cookies, slab pies, and jelly roll cakes.

Q: Can you use this pan for a shhet cake?

Yes. This is the size for sheet cake.

Q: Is the outside dimension truly 18" and no bigger? If it is any bigger it won't fit in my oven. Thanks

Mine is 17 7/8" so just a bit under 18".

Q: Would someone be willing to check to see if this pan would hold magnets well?

No, magnets don't hold. I tried a couple different types.
