I hired a contractor to install these behind my TV in the living room and it's so gorgeous. It was relatively easy for him. My only tip is tape the wood while you cut it so the ends don't splinter. Measure three times, cut once! I bought additional panels to cover the whole wall. It really does help with sound transfer, although I got this mainly for aesthetic upgrade.

I am working on a small renovation project that will incorporate some mid-century modern touches throughout my home. I decided on a feature wall that will utilize these slats. This room has tall ceilings and tends to be a little bit echoey, joe, these slats served two purposes. The first would be aesthetics and the second would be echo reduction. I've been shopping around for different slats, and you may have noticed if you've been shopping around then they all come generally in small widths, anywhere between 4 and 12 in. If you're doing a large wall like me, things tend to get a bit expensive fairly quickly. I decided to order this item to check out the quality and see if it would make a good fit for my project. I'm happy to say that I am really impressed with this product. The slat portion itself is not actually made of wood... it seems to be PVC or vinyl but has a very realistic wood grain look. That's fine with me, in fact since I live in Florida that works out better for me as I don't have to contend with any humidity issues. The color is absolutely beautiful and will work with my mid-century modern aesthetic perfectly. There are a couple of different color choices, but for me personally I think I'll stick with this one which is the dark brown. The backing is a soft felt like material but it is hard and provides a lot of support. The price on this item is in line with some of the others that I've seen, but this one is on the larger side which means I'll need to buy less of it. Overall I really like this product and I'm going to seriously consider it for this large project.

These look good and classy - not cheap looking at all. I've tried a few of these slat panels and the Bantie panels are among the better quality. The felt backing is stapled on securely and there is a thick padding between the felt and the wood-style veneer. Since it's a laminate veneer and MDF slat, moisture should not be a big problem - unlike other slats I've tried. These are easy to cut on a chop saw and lightweight, so they're pretty easy to install. I recommend using screws - which are not included - if you don't want to end up pulling drywall off should you want to change them out one day. Since they don't weigh much, I found that two black screws on top and two on the bottom, hidden in the black backing, is more than enough to secure them to the wall.

These were so easy to install and help absorb the sound.

I really love how these panels look. They are made of really nice quality and add such a nice elegance to any room. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Visually appealing, easy to apply and made from good quality. MDF boards but covered with a glossy layer of vinyl, personally i went over with a darker tone color to give it a bit more visual. Sound quality did improve, not mind blowing when compared to professional such as GIK Acoustic or similar, however it is also at a lower price point so overall very happy with these for my home office.
