Fun for kids and adults
Fun game that has different strategy based on the number of people playing. Quality materials, easy to learn, and fun for kids as well as adults. We love the small box for easy storage.

So fun!
This game is so fun and its small size makes it easy to pack with on a trip. We bring it to the lake with us to play in the evenings after going out to catch real fish. Easy game to learn and can be played with just two people so it’s perfect for me and my husband when we are bored and looking for something fun to do besides watch tv.

Fun addition to game night
This has become a favorite to bring to our local board game night. Easy to explain to new players, super portable, and quick enough to play a few rounds. Everyone enjoys the art too. We often add in a tray to roll the dice in, and use the lid for the lure tokens. Definitely worth the pickup.

Fun Game for All Ages
This is such a fun game! it was not hard to learn at all and it has a nice balance of luck with strategy. Every game is different because you never know which group of fish you will be "fishing" for. We got the expansion right away and it too is enjoyable. Our only question to the devs are why the 7 points for most trophies and minus 7 for least? Doesn't work and especially for 2 people so we modified it and each of just totaled our trophies. It's good as a two player game which is what we look for but this is a great family game as well. Ready, set, cast!!!

Nice components, fairly easy rules, plays quickly, interesting bidding system
This is neat little game about rolling dice and using the results to hopefully claim fish cards (worth points) from the center. The trick is that everyone's racing for the same cards and you "bid" for sequence based on how many dice you choose to roll. If you roll all of your dice, you have a pretty good chance of matching several of the cards, but if I can match some with fewer dice, I'll get to claim them before you. So, everyone's trying to be as efficient as possible - or just go big and hope everyone else misses. I appreciate that this overall system feels fairly unique and clever, and adds some fun tension to your decision of which dice to use. The components are nice - set of dice for each player in different colors, nice player screens with a rules overview on the back, nice quality cards and tokens, and overall great art which certainly helps draw you into the theme. I also love the small super portable box - this is a great little box size from allplay. As far as gameplay itself, it can be fairly luck dependent, which shouldn't be a surprise as a dice game and generally fine as a quick little game. I appreciate the use of lures to help mitigate missed rolls, or provide specific valued-dice to ensure certain requirements. Turn order being based on quantity of dice works well, but also presents my first minor complaint. Since the range of dice is 1-7, and you're usually bidding in the 3-5 range, there are a LOT of ties, especially in a 5 player game. Ties are resolved by all tied players rolling and the lowest sum goes first. This works fine, and makes sense, but is also kind of anti-climactic since part of the fun of dice games is getting some immediate success or fail feedback with your rolls. By adding this intermediate step of summing the dice to determine who goes first, you lose a bit of the excitement of seeing if you got what you needed. I'm not sure what a better way would be (turn order, maybe?), but I feel like it would be more fun for each player to roll individually and see if they got what they needed. Also, being able to use all of your dice to claim all cards often means one player with a lucky roll gets several cards and there's just nothing else for other players to try for. Again, this is the crux of bidding low, but it's also just not very fun to not even get a chance to roll. Finally, I feel like for a game this light, there are a few little fiddly rules around the lures. Such as lures not counting as dice when bidding, but they do count when rolling for ties. Again, this makes sense, but little exceptions like this are tricky for new players. I also noticed a few of the rules are explained better on the reference card than in the rule book, which is convenient but also frustrating if you're checking the book to clarify something and just can't find it because it's not there. Overall, this is a neat little light dice game and great for a quick little game session. It's not perfect, but I appreciate what it does and like the unique bidding. The theme and art are great, and it's one I'm happy to play but just won't take too seriously.

Initially had a shipping error with the package but they were quick to respond! It's a very cute game and everything's intact with it.

Fantastic fun
Super quick and fun. I don't normally care for dice huckers, but this is 1 of the exceptions. Competing to catch fish with a level of strategy and deceit all in an easy to carry vessel. Cards, boards and dice are all good quality. Rules are simple to teach and learn. Gameplay goes pretty quick especially with just 2 players, my favorite count for this game so far. And the price is reasonable.
