It was recommended by a friend who uses knives for cutting his PB&J sandwiches and drywall work. Switching the blade is easy, press the button and give it a tug. Blades can be easily turned and reinstalled to get full use out of a blade. The little prying tool in the handle hasn't been used much, but it is sturdy. The slot to cut cords is narrow at only 3/16" (6mm), is good for twine. I'm sure it's good for other specific uses. It's a bit heavy compared to the old zinc knives, but the fun thing is that spare blades don't rattle in your pocket or when performing a surprise box opening.
