Apple Siri Remote - 2022 (3rd generation)

Replaced the visiting remote with the 4K tv due one of the dog getting hold of it and chewing through the control pad!! Works flawlessly Will look at buying again to upgrade the remote for the tv in the dining room.

If you’ve struggled and fumbled with previous Apple TV remotes, this will return your sanity. Costly, yes. Expensive, no. Worth every penny in my opinion. But it took the famed Apple design team long enough!

Works well, easily set up, quality product

Got it as a replacement for my existing Apple Siri remote, since the click buttons started double-clicking. Setting it up was fairly simple: as prompted in the app, just take it up to the TV box, hold a button combo, and you're done. This is a 1:1 replacement for the existing remote, so the same size you know and love to lose down the size of the sofa (basically, think HIFI remote size). Battery life is still super (lasting upto several months between charges if you're not using Siri crazily). The value for money is a weird one. On the one hand, it's expensive for a remote; on the other hand, it's much nicer to use than any other remote I've got in my setup, except for the trackpad sometimes being too sensitive for its own good.

Kept on getting odd behaviour from my Gen 1 remote until it finally gave up the ghost a few weeks ago. Replacing it with this Gen 3 remote was like getting a new Apple TV. Works flawlessly, much easier to navigate around the screen (although it took me a while to find the mic button). And finally, at long last, an on/off button.

A little bit pricey but works fine. Feels nice to hold. You can use Voice search with it. Charges via usb C. A good Apple product.

Didn’t work

Works as well as my previous Apple TV Remote. It still has the touch sensitive functionality for navigation from the previous remote and has clickable buttons to also navigate.

Sans être parfaite, c'est la meilleure télécommande de lecteur audio/vidéo que j'ai utilisée. Ses qualités sont remarquables : - très compacte, - portée incroyable, - temps de réponse remarquable, - pas besoin de viser l'Apple TV, - rechargeable rapidement, - message indiquant qu'il faut la recharger. Elle n'est pas parfaite à cause de 2 défauts : 1) Manque les boutons Retour rapide / Avance rapide : le trackpad permet d'exécuter ces commandes, gauche pour Retour Rapide / droite pour Avance rapide dans la barre de commandes des App de lecture audio/video, mais c'est désagréable dans la plupart des App Apple TV car la barre de commande de ces apps met à côté des boutons avance / retour rapide les boutons précedent / suivant, donc quand on maintient enfoncé le bouton retour/avance rapide, on glisse trop facilement dans l'app sur la barre de commande et on saute à la vidéo précédente ou suivante, ce qui ruine l'utilisation, alors qu'il suffisait à Apple de copier une télécommande de DVD en incluant retour/avance rapide. 2) Sa fragilité à certains accidents : une goutte de thé ou café tombant sur le trackpad détruit la télécommande, car sans trackpad on ne peut plus exéécuter les apps, et démonter la téléommande est trop difficile pour un particulier. Ella a un autre défaut : la commande vocale fonctionne mal et ne progresse pas (au contraire de l'assistant Google, qui, s'il a mal interprété un son, retient la correction qu'on tape et interprètera bien le même son la fois suivante), mais c'est dû à Siri qui est un échec sur Apple TV et non à la télécommande elle même, et ce n'est pas grave car - il suffit d'éviter la commande vocale, et le bouton de commande vocale n'est pas intrusif : il est sur le côté, donc c'est facile de l'éviter, au contraire de la télécommande LiveBox Media player donc on active par erreur le bouton de commande vocale parce qu'il est juste en dessous du trackpad, - la commande vocale d'Apple TV n'est pas du tout intrusive : lâcher le bouton suffit pour l'arrêter, à la différence du LiveBox Media Player où activer le menu de commande vocale est une épreuve.

Die Apple Siri Remote (3. Gen) ist hochwertig verarbeitet, liegt angenehm in der Hand und macht das Navigieren auf dem Apple TV deutlich komfortabler. Sie reagiert schnell, das Clickpad mit Touch-Gesten funktioniert sehr präzise und Siri erleichtert die Suche per Sprachbefehl. Dank USB‑C lädt sie bequem, der Akku hält lange, nur der im Vergleich zu anderen Fernbedienungen hohe Preis trübt den insgesamt sehr guten Eindruck etwas.

Bought in September 2025. Returned in March 2026. Reason: The remote began transmitting the "volume down" command constantly, reducing the volume of my soundbar constantly. Because it's Bluetooth, the only way I could stop it was to put the remote in my microwave! This is the fifth Apple TV Remote to go faulty on me since I began buying the 3rd Generation models. Thankfully Amazon refunded me in full. Hard pushed to offer anything but one-star when they have a six month life. And no, I do not abuse them, I just use Apple TV a lot, probably more than most. I expect better from Apple.

No complaints here. Bought this one to replace the original remote that was subject to a spill and stopped working.
