I've wanted a rivet nut tool for some time. Most are similar to pop rivet tools - two handles that squeeze together. I saw this tool and liked the size and the fact that it will work better in tight spots. The kit comes in a nice case that holds the tool and accessories securely. The instructions are well written and easy to understand. Operating the tool was easy. I tested the tool with a 1/4-20 rivet on a sample piece of metal. The instructions say to subtract the thickness of the metal from the grip length of the nut to determine the amount grip stroke. Instead of doing that I just measured the remaining grip area after inserting the rivet in the piece of metal. (See sixth picture.) The tool easily pulled the nut and squeezed it down to the scale I measured. The only "tricky" part was that to squeeze the rivet you rotate the upper part counter clockwise. The result is shown in the last picture. If you're looking for a rivet nut tool, give this one serious consideration. You won't be disappointed if you get it.

I like this tool. It has worked flawlessly for me personally. Some people have reported structural breakage issues here. None for me. If you use it correctly it is very handy. I feel the parts are quality and easy to use. Just follow instructions and use a practice panel for your first experience. The measuring guage is helpful for consistency once you know how to set it properly. You actually only need to rotate one of the handles while holding the opposite firmly in order to achieve good results.

It was delivered fast and works good so far. I have only used it four times. If the plastic case had extra room for spare rivet nuts I would give it a five.

This tool is something I really need for my project. Had to install a license plate fog light bracket. To make it sturdy, I had to drill a couple of new holes into my front bumper & put a rivet nut. This tool made it easy. Thanks!

First use of it so far it works just fine oil up all the pivot points with the supplied oil it works smoothly great purchase.

It does what it's supposed to. This tool is nice, it comes in a nice case, with all the parts to use it right out of the box, however there is one issue in the design and I know why it's designed this way, but...the length of it can be inconvenient if you need to get into a tight space. I used this tool for my overland trailer build and in one section of the build, I had to install some of the rivets into a tight space for the kitchen install and it was tough. I actually had to disassemble and have a new plan to make it work, but this did work great for all the other installs, but I do think a pistol grip version may have been a bit more convenient.

I needed a tool to place strong anchors for bolts in the thin metal of my travel trailer. The instructions were clear and I was able to accurately and easily insert the rivet nuts. The tool appears to be quite strong for the 6 sizes of rivet nuts that it came with but I would not attempt to compress stainless steel rivet nuts. It has 3 SAE and 3 Metric heads with common threads that are easily changed. The one thing I would like added is the corresponding drill size for a particular nut as the holes have to be precisely sized. This tool and it’s extra rivet nuts are great value for the money.

I used the tool the minute it arrived! I had some loosed rivet nut on sub-frame of a motorcycle I'm working on, I was amazed how the tool performed to re-tighten the loose nut which save me doing extra work. There were a couple of bad rivet nuts needing replacements and completed that as well flawlessly. Would have been nice if it came with alloy rivet nut or as an option. Overall, very happy with the tool!
