Good little e reader although got me back into reading and battery life is excellent. Got this as an alternative to the kindle I’d had for years and gave me back control of my library when combined with Calibre you can own your books again

I bought the PocketBook Verse Pro Colour after reading positive reviews and watching YouTube recommendations, but my experience has been extremely disappointing. The device feels clunky and unintuitive in daily use. Basic navigation is slower and more awkward than expected, and I have had to perform multiple resets just to get it working properly. For a modern e-reader at this price point, that is simply not acceptable. The colour E Ink screen was one of the main reasons I bought it, but the overall experience does not live up to the marketing. Between the buggy behaviour, sluggish performance, and repeated need to troubleshoot, it feels like a product that is not fully polished. I also feel somewhat misled by the positive online reviews, because they did not reflect the frustrating real-world experience I have had with it. Instead of feeling like a premium compact e-reader, it feels unreliable and unfinished. I am now looking into alternative brands, and based on my experience, I would advise others to do the same. Unless you are prepared to deal with resets, bugs, and a generally frustrating user experience, I would stay clear.

Nice convenient size. Seems good quality build. Easy to use. Physical buttons are very nice to turn pages. The colour screen is nice, but it's significantly darker than a black and white e-reader. In bright sunshine it's great, but anything less and turning the front light on 25% makes a huge difference to the contrast, it brightens the background and doesn't seem to use much power. In landscape mode, some comics are easily readable, others the text is too small. If you zoom in more than fitting the page width, the reader isn't great for comics. It scrolls down with each click, so you miss the top-right panels. With comics you generally want to go left to right, then down. Given that this is a colour e-reader, you'd think they'd provide a reader that was aimed at comics. If it came with a reader more suitable to reading comics at a greater zoom setting, it would be 5 stars.

One of the best BUT if you get the unit to 'read' over bluetooth it was eat the battery in 10 hrs. Also customer support is either deaf ignorant, lazy or the just don't care. I asked customer support about battery life, they either didn't want to admit it or all of the above

Lookes nice, but I'm disappointed of overall performance comparing to smartphone or tablet. Very pale colours, everything's flashing when you scroll, difficult to change size of fonts if the file in some particular formats, not easy to mske it compatinle with some books apps...I decided to return and bought tablet instead.

If you buy this you should be aware that it is NOT possible to read kindle books or e-vrit books on this device, you can only read books from the store on the device (or books you have on your computer and transfer to the device, in very sppecific formats). The store has limited options and all are rather expensive. This was NOT clear to me from the information on Amazon, and if I had understood this I would not have bought this device. I don't understand why Amazon should promote\sell a device for reading books that does not enable reading books bought on Amazon.

Like it. Just wish it had headphones and micro SD.

I had to return this product because the screen kept flashing randomly which hurt my eyes. It was also very slow and unresponsive. I feel like a device for this price should be faster and a little more intuitive. Sadly, it isn't.

Me ha fascinado el lector, es del tamaño que esperaba, pequeño, de bolsillo justo para viajar. Es muy fácil pasar libros desde la aplicación Calibre. Había leído varios comentarios que no les gustaba que el lector no es completamente blanco, esto es así, para mí no es un problema es como leer en periódico con ese tono grisáceo y es un gran descanso para mi vista. También trae pequeños juegos un ajedrez, sudoku y solitario, el concepto es divertido, los he explorado poco, realmente disfruto de la lectura en este dispositivo y esto otro gran acierto bastante enfocado en lectura sin mayores distracciones.

Ich bin begeistert vom Pocketbook Verse Pro Color. Dieses kleine Kraftpaket hat sich in kürzester Zeit zu meinem liebsten Lesebegleiter entwickelt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das fantastische Farbdisplay. Endlich kommen Cover, Illustrationen und sogar Comics auf einem E-Reader richtig zur Geltung. Die Farben sind angenehm und nicht zu grell, sodass das Lesen weiterhin augenschonend bleibt. Ein echter Genuss! Ein weiteres unschlagbares Feature ist die nahtlose Integration der Onleihe. Bücher direkt über das Gerät auszuleihen und zu lesen funktioniert reibungslos und ist unglaublich praktisch. Kein lästiges Übertragen von Dateien mehr – einfach stöbern, ausleihen und loslesen! Das handliche Format des Pocketbook Verse Pro Color ist perfekt für unterwegs. Es passt problemlos in jede Tasche und ist dabei angenehm leicht. So habe ich meine Lieblingsbücher immer dabei, egal ob in der Bahn, im Café oder im Urlaub. Die Synchronisation zwischen zwei Geräten funktioniert ebenfalls einwandfrei. Ich kann auf meinem größeren E-Reader zu Hause beginnen und unterwegs nahtlos auf dem Verse Pro Color weiterlesen, ohne die Seite zu verlieren. Das ist unglaublich komfortabel und spart Zeit. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass der Pocketbook Verse Pro Color ein rundum gelungenes Gerät ist, das mit seinem Farbdisplay, der einfachen Onleihe-Nutzung, dem praktischen Format und der reibungslosen Synchronisation absolut überzeugt. Auch der Akku hält für so ein kleines Gerät sehr lange. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung für alle Leseratten!

Estaba deseando renovar mi Kindle Paperwhite de 2015 y esta vez quería probar algo diferente, así que elegí este Pocketbook. Lo más importante para mí era poder abrir los ebooks de eBiblio, y cuanto más fácil, mejor. Estoy encantada con este ereader. ✅ Ventajas: • Tiene cargador USB-C. • La pantalla se ve genial, tanto en color como en blanco y negro. • Cuenta con luz cálida y modo oscuro, ideal para leer de noche. • La navegación es rápida y fluida. • Es muy sencillo cargar libros desde Pocketbook Cloud, Dropbox, eBiblio, enviarlos por email, etc. • Puedes configurar casi todo: el menú, los gestos, los botones, hasta cargar tus propias tipografías. • Es muy ligero. • Si subes los ebooks a Pocketbook Cloud (tienes 5GB de espacio gratis), puedes leer desde el ordenador, la app del móvil y el ereader, y se sincroniza el progreso de lectura. ❌ Inconvenientes: • Subrayar es más difícil que en el Kindle, cuesta un poco que el marcador se quede donde quieres. • No te muestra el tiempo restante para terminar el capítulo (pero sí el número de páginas que quedan). • La tienda de Pocketbook es muy limitada y no tiene nada interesante. La he quitado del menú de inicio. ⭐ Lo mejor: Leer libros de eBiblio. En el vídeo enseño cómo descargar libros de eBiblio para leerlos gratis. Kindle no es compatible con eBiblio y Kobo requiere conectar el ereader al ordenador con USB para cargar los libros, pero con el Pocketbook puedes hacerlo solo con WiFi. Aunque va bastante rápido, navegar con una pantalla de tinta electrónica no es lo mismo que con una tablet, por lo que recomiendo consultar el catálogo y pedir el libro desde el móvil o el ordenador, y después solo descargarlo desde el navegador del Pocketbook. Me encanta que puedas ver en la portada cuántos días te quedan para devolver el préstamo, algo que no he visto en otras marcas.
