The media could not be loaded. I ordered this off Vine because I have a Bosch Pro drill, and it would be handy to have a spare, and compact, charger. The description says it's for GBA 18v batteries, which mine are. There is no BAT number on the battery, but it is a GBA 18v. When the battery is plugged in the charger goes to solid red, indicating overheating/overcharging Etc., so I unplugged it quickly. Checked the battery in the OEM charger, and it's fine, and charges.I noticed that this compact charger only has two pins, positive and negative, and the OEM one has four pins...no idea why they're different, but may explain the charger not working. I won't leave a battery in the charger, because I don't want one ruined, so the charger is useless. It may well work with current GBA batteries, but if so, why the name hasn't been changed to differentiate, is a mystery to me. If it states GBA it should charge a GBA battery? Shouldn't it? So, back in its box, and in the bin.If you have GBA OEM batteries, try to ascertain if it's suitable for them. Don't assume.

Ordered this to replace my old broken charger that I managed to smash dropping it. This is slightly different from the charger I had however it fits the Makita battery well. It has a normal 3 prong house hold style plug on it. The charger unit is quite light weight but feels well enough built and strong.There is a small light which helps indicate status, whether that be charging, awaiting charge, full or an issue with the battery. This is pretty much the same as the charger I originally had. I noticed charge time to be in the same ball park, I never really timed it but would put a battery on charge once I'm finished using it.

A good alternative for a replacement or additional charger for your Bosch pro tools. It is only for the GBA range so won't work with Bosch home battery products. It has the standard features you would expect from an 18v charger, over charge protection, over heat etc. Best of all it's a tenner cheaper than the original.
