Bamboo Shower Bench - Wooden Shower Stool with Storage Shelf, Non Slip Seat

I bought this as an entry way bench and it is nice looking and sturdy! Easy to put together and better than I expected so worth the money.

Sturdy and just the right look and dimensions. Fits perfectly in my shower without taking too much space. Seems wel made and waterproof (time will tell).

Perfect small size to fit in a normal size shower. Easy to assemble once I read the instructions to tighten all screws minimally on each corner to keep the balance of the frame square for easy assembly.

Cute, sturdy, and easy to assemble overall. A couple of screws were difficult to tighten due to poorly drilled holes, and one leg had a decent -sized chip (the reason for the 4 star vs 5 star review. I considered returning it, but I needed it for surgery recovery and decided to keep it since my surgery was a few days away. I’m glad I did. It works great as a shower stool and can also be used as a decorative bathroom shelf, which adds extra value. The rubber grips keep it securely in place, and I’ve felt safe using it during my recovery. At 5’6” and 180 lbs, the size is comfortable for me. The light wood finish is attractive, and after three weeks of daily use, it still looks clean and new.

We recently remodeled our master bath to make it senior citizen friendly. When designing the new zero entry shower, I elected not to include a built in tile bench seat or a fold down wood seat. The ones I have seen/used elsewhere are NEVER comfortable, and the water where we live is SO hard I knew that whatever was in there would be calcified over time. My plan was to purchase an attractive Bamboo bench like this one for the shower, and when it got so yucky that I couldn't clean it any longer I'd just chuck it and purchase a new one. As it turned out, my 76 year old husband (who also has Parkinson's) shattered his hip in April 2016. We came home from rehab still in a wheelchair and needing something more substantial (which I also purchased on Amazon) than this bench. However, while perusing the daily specials one evening I came across this bench for what seemed like a good price, so I ordered it--for me. It arrived quickly thanks to prime shipping. I didn't assemble it immediately, but finally put it together several weeks ago. Everything you need is in the package--there are eight bolts and an allen wrench. The shelf fits into notches in the legs. The parts are labeled so you match the C legs to the C marks on the top, the D legs to the D marks. Simple. The bench is SMALLER than I thought it would be and lower to the ground than I thought it would be. Pay attention to the dimensions described in the listing. That towel on the shelf is probably a hand towel. It is definitely NOT a bath towel. I don't think an older, more feeble person could sit comfortably on this particular bench. However, the bench is pretty and also fairly sturdy. It will be perfect for shaving my legs--which my contractor said was the primary use of any bench in the shower. I am currently using it to double as a nighttime bedside table beside my husband's hospital bed to hold his water glass. it is high enough that he can reach it but low enough so that he doesn't just knock his glass over inadvertently. So far he has not tipped the bench over either--which is huge.

I am a occupational therapist by trade and typically I assist my patient's in finding adaptive equipment for their bathrooms such as bath seats. I myself being well over 6 foot and 285 plus pounds I am a big guy so sitting while I shower is always enjoyable. I wanted to purchase a shower seat that looked and performed exceptionally well and not look industrial so I chose this bamboo shower bench. It worked excellent up until the 3rd wk i had it when I noticed the clear coat finish had worn almost completely off one of the legs was noticeably splitting and heavy mold growth began on the underside of the bench which is a major problem. I really liked this bench alot, build quality initially seemed superior. I am going to try and salvage this bench by gluing the leg split back together and clamping it and sanding the entire bench down and varnishing it with a marine grade finish. For the price it is definitely not worth it I may have to end up going with a plastic and aluminum Style Industrial type bench that I've been trying to avoid for fraction of the cost. Obviously if this product had been properly tested thoroughly these types of issues would have been detected in quality control. UPDATE: I purchased a quart of marine grade polyurethane the kind used on boats and applied 3 coats. I also purchased plastic skis pads that I nailed into each leg. Since the legs were formed gluing two pieces of wood together the endgrain tended to wick water which caused separation. I also noticed the screws on the corners holding the seat was no longer biting into the wood and would rotate without tightening, so I need to invest in some longer screws as well. The assembly as a whole upon initial inspection after just a few weeks of use required tightening at every bolt, I plan on purchasing some lock right which prevents bolt slippage. I will post another update after a few more weeks, all in all this is a nice bench but if the few extra steps had gone into the production phase to make this as good as to where I've gotten it now I would've been more than happy to pay the extra fee and given it 5 stars!

Easy to assemble and with tools to assemble. Live it in my shower!

i just love this bench! My bath looks like a spa. It is extremely sturdy and beautiful. I love the height. It is not too tall. It is perfect for putting your leg on to for shaving or drying your legs, and more than sturdy enough for sitting.

I needed a sturdy bench for our mudroom for use when putting on and taking off laced footwear. (This gets harder to do standing or kneeling as we age!) This compact bench is perfect for the job, assembled well, seems very sturdy and well made, and looks good. Excellent value, very pleased!
