Is this to be used alone or with a gel?

I use it alone or with the gel without problem. They are both excellent products.

Is this cream ok to use for protein sensitive p/ overloaded hair?

I don't have any issues with it. My hair is overloaded, dry, coarse and thick. This is the only product I found that softens it and moisturizers it. I love this. Won't use anything else
