Review: Must have - If you game alot or dont game much even but you utilize a computer or laptop especially and even if your in dark room with tv console, these glasses are must have. Out of the numerous different brand types for blue light blocking lenses ive utilized, these help the best and even assist in preventing migraines if your on a weekend bender. I work nights so these even help with the LED vehicle lights oddle enough but dont affect night driving abilities. If anything it makes everything clearer. Look seeing is believing, they are lil more pricey than other brands and clearly theres reason for it as these have been overall best for quality, price, clarity, and overall eye strain protection. Remember to look at the different lens types to get one that fits best for your needs. I have 3 variations so can adjust based on ambient lighting and have best results
Review: Comfortable and well made... - Do they block Blue light? I don't know... I can still see blue without issue. I heard "blue blockers" are good for nighttime driving, so I've been using these for the drive home from work, and I don't notice any discernable difference with or without them, other than the slight yellow hue. Reflections/Glare? Had to say, I don't notice any difference to the naked eye, not like with my amber-tinted polerized sun-glasses. This model (65) has a slight yellow tint, which I don't mind... but some may not like that in their games, or for graphical editing needs. The slight magnification is noticeable when going on or off, but again, not an issue for me. Bottom Line... my eyes have been killing me... looking at a PC all day, come home and watch some TV, then on a PC for a few more hours gaming or watching shows. I tried drops, but they're just bandaids. I was hopeful these would mitigate the strain somewhat. it's hard to tell... It's been about 3 weeks. I wear them all day in front of the computer and at home in front of the computer, and my eyes still feel strained and require drops at night and sometimes during the day at work, so... I'd have to say the jury is still out. **UPDATE** It's been a few more weeks of regular wear and, I didn't notice until I had left the glasses at work for a long weekend, I found myself rubbing my burning eyes late Sunday evening and reaching for the eye drops again and I thought... It's been over a week since I've had to do this! Clearly, for me, the glasses are having a positive impact on my once painful eye strain. It just took a few weeks for the benefits to overcome the current situation.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What if you already wear glasses?**
A: My wife has the same issue so we went to the eye doctor to see about contact lenses, Gunnar glasses work really well with contacts or have Gunnar glasses made with your RX prescription. Either option runs about the same cost so it is really personal preference or prescription availability.

**Q: Do these glasses have the natural lenses with no magnification?**
A: The official Gunnar account answered a different question and said the Riot Onyx glasses only come with +0.2 magnification. I have these, and the magnification isn't noticeable at all. I like to have it, though, because it makes sense that it would be easier on my eyes when I look at objects near my face--like a computer screen. If you want natural lenses with no magnification, Gunnar says to look at the Cruz model.

**Q: Are these similar to anti glare driving glasses?**
A: Hi there,

When it comes to our lens tints, they are specifically designed to combat blue light while viewing digital screens. While our lenses can be effective in reducing the harshness of lights you experience while driving and reducing the amount of glare, they are not designed for driving. Most of our non-prescription glasses come with our GUNNAR Focus, which is a +0.2 diopter on the lens, designed for use viewing a monitor at close distance. While it's a small amount of magnification, it may affect your vision while driving.

For an option without the magnification, I would recommend looking into the following four frame styles that offer Natural lens: Vertex, Intercept, MOBA Razer, Cruz, and Rush. I hope this helps!

**Q: Are these frames black? I ordered a previous Onyx color (different style) and they were more grey**
A: Yes, this style RIO-00101 is black.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stylish frames and the Liquet had no ghosting effect! Woo!
*by S***Y on June 15, 2018*

Update 2 years later! I still toss these on occasion but have moved to a pair of glasses that don't have the magnification on them. Too long with the magnification gives me a headache. I definitely suggest only using these while sitting in front of what you're working on, I noticed the more I wear them about the more the magnification bothers me. I will say the magnification become more beneficial when I'm reading things for long hours on my phone (manga, textbooks, technical pdfs, etc.). I have noticed the ghosting when I've worn them outside (blah) but is much less noticeable when I'm sitting in front of a device. For reference my alternate glasses I bought were $20 from a "lens" website. They're clear, no magnification and 10,000,000 times easier to clean than these guys. If I had to give a reason why I don't wear these as often it's because they are so god awful to clean properly and I don't feel like paying for a proprietary lens cleaner for them to just be dirtied after a long session on my computer. It's smudgy frustrating mess even with clean specialized cleaning clothes. THANK GOODNESS! No ghosting with this frame. I previously had purchased the Gunnar Optiks Enigma computer glasses with liquet lenses - block blue light, anti-glare, minimize digital eye strain, Onyx (ENI-00109) , and there was ghosting all over the place. Made them unwearable after a time. Frames: Very light, enjoy that it doesn't sit too heavy on my face. -noticed the left lense creaks a bit, like it's not seated in the frame correctly. Right side is fine though (might do a re-buy and return) Sit farther away from my face (wooo 1000x less cleaning needed). Really love the design choice with these, they look great! Lenses: Liquet continue to be perfect for my lighting conditions (computer work in a fairly dark environment with dual monitor set-up), while utilizing mostly dark themed apps. NO GHOSTING (for me) -If you are struggling with ghosting in a different product (see above), give these guys a shot. They really got the job done and unfortunately with Liquet it seems to be tied directly to where you are looking through the lenses. -There is no official product information out on Liquet and ghosting (and I'm not sure they want this publicized as an issue), which for the customer means trial and error with different frames. -I did notice my reviews on the main gunnar optiks website were purged, since I last looked, that discussed liquet ghosting with the enigma.
