Heavy duty
I love this hitch! It is heavy duty and when the ball attachment is off, the bracket can stay on and doesn’t become a shin knocker like most hitches. I leave the bracket on all the time and put the ball on when I need it. I love it! After having this hitch for a few months I’m updating my review. I was rear ended with the base of this hitch installed and it saved the rear end of my truck and the hitch held up without so much as a scratch. The guy who hit me isn’t so lucky. This hitch just paid for myself several times over for me! I love it!

BETTER THAN ADVERTISED
BETTER THAN ADVERTISED! Height position pin is NOT secured with an easy to loose clip pin, as shown. Newer design has a locking mechanism at the top of the height position rod that is keyed the same as the provided hitch lock and prevents theft or tampering of Tri-Ball. Excellent design upgrade! Very secure with rubber “Silencer Pads”, especially when towing my motorcycle trailer without brakes.

Rattles to much
Moves around way to much. Like the build but the tighten screw does nothing. Always backs out. After about a few miles of driving. Had to get a separate anti rattle mechanism.

You get what you pay for sometimes I tried to save money, but now I need to buy another one
I’ve had this for about a year and there’s a pin that attaches to the top of the rod that holds the ball hitch to the framework that pin has rusted out and the rod fell down. I’ve had Trailer hitch’s. That have lasted 10 or 15 years, this one, not even 1 1/2 years

Someone can easily steel half of this hitch
They give 1 lock for hitch but not one for the ball assembly

Its ok... but might not be worth the money
Item did the job as intended. The locking nut that keeps the hitch solid comes loose right away and the coating on the balls comes off after 1st use. Item started to rust after the 1st day on my truck as well.
