Compact stereo with CD player and speakers
This unit was a perfect gift for our grandson. Good size, good sound quality for a good price.

Good product for the price. does what it says it will do with a couple minor quirks
I am actually quite pleased with this little shelf system. I live in an apartment and I didn't want anything that was going to crack the glass on my neighbor's windows. I will go through the cons 1st. I did want something with relatively decent sound the sound. This okay. it's slightly more tinny than I like it but for the speaker? really pretty decent. now on to the quirks. 1st Quirk / irritant is (from what I've noticed through use) is that the remote control doesn't appear to have a volume control. If I'm missing the obvious? please let me know. I am fully okay being proven wrong and shown the proper way to change the volume. Its annoying for me but not a deal breaker. now the 2nd quirk. the itty bitty tiny plugs on the speakers. my God if they were any smaller you need to use tweezers to plug the speakers into the main console! for someone with big hands &/or arthritis? trying to manhandle something that minuscule is extremely irritating and on the downside painful. but once they're in? It's good. those were the two things I noticed that really frosted my biscuits. You cannot expect Kenwood sound from a shelf system out of China for under $50. you get what you pay for. I am actually quite pleased with the whole thing because it gives me a little stereo system in my living room. through moving I found that my really nice Aiwa stereo system had gotten damaged and no longer worked. the main point, this it is a good enough replacement system for my former living room tune machine until I can afford to replace it. Biggest happiest point? it is small!! this thing will sit on a small bookshelf & it's completely safe. It's also lightweight so it won't stress a small Shelf over much. you can use it outside, in the garage and it'll do a fantastic job. This system receives AM/ FM. which I love because the main radio station around where I live, when weather gets REAL ugly? is on the AM dial. I particularly love (or used to love) Coast to Coast AM especially when it was Ghost to Ghost AM on Halloween. so now I can listen to that next October, in my living room, comfortably this makes me very happy!! I also have a lot of CDs, cdr, & cdrw's. this system says it will play all 3 types. I don't know if everybody knows it but the cdrw are like back when I was a young thing, we used to record songs off the radio onto a cassette tape. well that's kind of what a cdrw is only in a different form. it's fantastic because you can make a mixtape of your favorite songs (read:playlist) for your CD player. i just realized how old I am... its hysterical!! This unit also functions as more or less a Bluetooth speaker system. it also has a spot for auxiliary cables so you can plug stuff into it or just let it play over the air. either way it's nice to have options. In my experience Magnavox has always produced quality products. So I have faith that this thing will last me a while. when I no longer need it for my living room? then it's going to go in my office & when I get something better there? it'll go into my bedroom. one of the nice perks of this is it has a clock & alarm. oh and you can also look at it and see the time!! I mean it is large enough and bright enough (but not annoyingly bright) to be able to see the time from across the room. that's very handy. I really did not want a boombox. I wanted an actual shelf system and this fits the bill perfectly. Cheers!!

Magna box mini stereo
I just bought this Magnavox mini stereo system. My boyfriend also has one as well in black.. and he likes his very much however mine I’m not so crazy about only because it’s not compatible with my iPhone for Bluetooth. Which was a whole reason I wanted to get it so if you’re thinking about buying it, go ahead and do so because it’s a cute little mini stereo but just so you know for future reference it is not compatible with an iPhone.. also, you cannot listen to your headphones with this particular stereo system even if you put it on onyx, it does not work at all I’ve tried it, and the only way you can listen to your headphones as if you synchronize it with another box or another stereo system, but it is not compatible with this particular stereo system at all. So if you’re looking for a small portable stereo system like this, just simply listen to the radio as well as cities perfect if you’re looking for a serious system like this, or you can plug in your headphones to listen to music, not gonna work.. update on my review. I’ve never had a stereo for four months.. and the volume when I put a CD inside the city player, nothing comes out of it there’s no sound whatsoever. And I’ve only had it for four months and are ready. There’s an issue with it.. so just an FYI if you’re going to purchase this just be aware that the CD player will work, but there may not be any sound coming out of it. Just an FYI.

Sound
It is compact, but sound is good, using it in a bedroom for an elderly family member that is recovering. I wanted something easy for them to load a CD and listen to their favorite sounds

Convenient, simple to use, inexpensive.
This is even smaller and lighter (if less attractive) than the "bookshelf" GPX unit it replaced which long ago had forgotten to play CDs (after the remote no longer worked); since I used it mostly for FM radio, I kept it long past its prime until the volume control went from "I can no longer hear it" to "DEAFENING" (and I'm already hard of hearing) in one click! While the older one was perfect for my first "private" office in an actual office, this Magnavox is much better for the home office in which I now work. I love that it has Bluetooth as well as AM/FM/Aux. I love the frequency presets. My only small complaint is the lack of a volume control (though there is a mute) on the remote.

Good purchase
Compact but works well. Great for our tiny cabin.

Really compact. Decent sound. Hardwired speaker cabling could be longer
It's not that bad of a system. I didn't expect room shaking sound, but it sounds decent for a $65 system. Could use a little more bass, but the speakers would probably burst. It does have individual bass and treble controls. I have it sitting on my nightstand which isn't the best location due to the bright blue LCD display. I have to place electrical tape over it at night to shut out the light. It has a dimmer control, but doesn't dim enough All features work including pairing with BT on my phone. Some reviewers stated the system died after a month - I purchased a warranty for $6.99 which guarantees replacement just incase it does. As an "oldhead stereo connoisseur" I have had sounds systems costing thousands of $$$ more, so this system is def small potatoes. Being that, it is performing without issue and I hope it continues do so.

Works for what we needed.
First of we like that is has Bluetooth, AM, FM and plays CDs. What we did was used our existing speakers on our patio and not the one that came with it, but they sounded fine.

Acheté pour une personne seule, vraiment satisfait de la qualité de l'appareil. Puissant malgré son petit gabarit.

Potência muito fraca. Ao assistir filmes, difícil ouvir o áudio das conversas, mesmo com volume maior. Decepção.
