Overall good product. HDR in black background is acceptable. Cannot ask too much for edge-lit. Delivery is faster than expected.

Gotta write a review on this product. Many of the so-called "features" are slightly gimped, but you get what you pay for. Where to start? First of all, I didn't buy this monitor for its dual switching 4k to 1080p mode. I bought it as an entry to 4k gaming. What I expected was a monitor that could push 160hz at 4k with low(ish) latency characteristic of IPS, and that is kind of what I got. 160hz technically is doable, but with an Nvidia graphics card, only over displayport 1.4a, and only after using the Nvidia app. Otherwise windows simply will not recognize 160hz as a supported refresh rate. It will lower the resolution to 1440p. The HDMI 2.1 port is gimped to 120hz (Asus says 144hz, but I couldn't get that much). Why? HDMI 2.1 has more bandwidth than displayport 1.4, and I bought a new cable just to get the most out of it. That's strike number 1. Additionally, many of the options that come with this monitor are greyed out and inaccessible when you start to tinker with other settings. I hope you like "racing mode," because you are going to be stuck on that if you want to use blue light filter. Want to use "dynamic dimming," say goodbye to ELMB (which I couldn't set up properly anyways). Want to adjust the gamma, don't try to use HDR, buddy! Hah! I had a top-of-the line ROG monitor from 2015ish. At the time it was the pinnacle, or close to it, of monitor technology. A 1440p, IPS panel that could turbo to 144hz with 5 ms response. The specs of this monitor are way better than that one, yet it feels like a downgrade. It is, to be fair, half the price, so it is a downgrade really. I think there is something profound to say here about how advances in technologically don't equate to advances in quality or value. By the way, this monitor does not possess a "real" HDR rating...it's vesa400 or something like that, and windows recognizes that. You can, with the help of the Nvidia control panel, bump the color up to 10-bit over displayport and turn on HDR in windows, so technically I guess it could be called 4k, 160hz in HDR...but only in a stretching-the-truth sorta way. My advice...for a couple hundred more bucks, an HDR certified monitor will provide better value...This is a case of you get what you pay for. It's no great deal, in my opinion. Also, amazon knocked an additional 15% off of the price the day after I bought it. Thanks Amazon! Looks like customers aren't buying it. They must have seen the writing on the wall.
