what is the difference with 8% verses 10% cross linked resin?

The 10% resin has a harder shell than the 8% making it more chlorine resistance. So 10% would last longer on a chlorinated water supply. The folks at Aplus Water.

Will this resin work in a kinetico k60 system?

Yes it should do the trick to restore your softener. I installed this resin in my system three years ago and it has been working like new ever since.

Will this work in a spring mate by brauch water conditioning co.? it's about 28 yrs. old.

A lot of iron where I am at. Will this help with keeping iron rust orange from coming through

I assume your water has 1-10 PPM iron. Most likely 2-3 PPM Iron. Have your water tested for free so you know what your working with. If more than 10 PPM than your need a special industrial system. I have a iron filter. Uses water to clean the coconut shell media. Iron filter about $1,200.00. Other medias are available based on your water. Other than that you can use your water soften to remove the iron. Hopefully you water softener can handle iron. If not then you might want a Iron breaker water soften for about $2,200.00. Or as I have a Whirlpool 33,000 Grain Water Softener about $400.00. Lastly many other new models are out there. Do your research so you don't buy options/equipment you don't need.
