Do not hesitate on deciding which fiber optic sight to buy. This is the one you want!!! I'm own most of the top fibre optic sights on the market and this one is a jewel to use and own. I'm buying a half dozen of these for all my plain barrel .12 and .20 Ga shotguns. The installed green fibre optic very nearly can be used in a dark room. It's one of the highest quality fibre optic sights for working in low light conditions. In bright light it comes alive and is a beacon you just cannot miss seeing and lining up great shots. You'll want one on all your plain barrel shotguns once you own one of these. I have quite a few shotguns, so I can assure you these work on just about any Remington, Mossberg, Baikal, Winchester, Cooey, Ithaca, H&R, New England Arms, Browning, Stevens, Hatsan, and Savage. So if it fits all of them, it's pretty much going to fit any plain barrel in those Gauges mentioned. It fits snuggly and doesn't budge or move one bit from the firearms recoil. Even with 3 1/2 in BB Mag rounds. I can't fault it one bit. The other 3 included fibre optic colours is another bonus that will keep me coming back to just this company. Now to buy one for every single plain barrelled shotgun I own. This is going to be expensive, but so worth it.

I put this on my old Mossberg 590 Clean House, it just snapped on in seconds, and you line it up with the front bead. You will instantly have a high visible sight for fast target tracking, it makes getting on target so much quicker. At first I thought it would look kind of cheap on my shotgun, but it actually went well with the Mossberg's tactical look. Seems to stay in place even after repetitive shots, but I do find myself checking it from time to time just to make sure. It comes with 4 different light tubes, 4 different colors, 2 in small dot and 2 in large dot, I went with the fat bright orange because my vision isn't what it use to be. For the price, it's a nice up grade, whether you're shooting skeet or for tactical use.

Pros: Same height as the stock sights on my M&P 9 2.0 5". In the day time, the contrasting green/orange colors, makes it easier and faster to focus my eye onto the front sight. There are side windows instead of only just top windows, unlike most other alternatives, allowing the fiber optics to collect more light in the day time. Cons: At night the orange rear is noticeably dimmer than the green front. The contrasting colors still make it easier to pick out the front sight, but the dim rear sights are harder to see in medium amounts of lighting, or if my eyes are not adjusted to the dark. I'm not sure if this is normal or intended, I read that the orange tritium vials only last 1/3 the years that the green ones do. So if the one I got had a year stamp that was 1-2 years old, half of its usable life might be gone. Other: Had to file the sights to fit in the dovetails, but that's to be expected. Contrasting green/orange colors is nice, but orange rear might have shorter life for low-light use. Might want to consider the green/green version of this product if that is an issue for you. Or, maybe green/orange is good for you if you intend to use this in the day time, but just want a minimal amount of low-light capability as an additional bonus.

Unit fits very tight on sxp barrel, can't see it moving around, but time will tell. Only shouldered with the green insert, very bright, way faster reference than bead alone.

I looked at several of the different versions selling here on Amazon, and almost all reviews were for the Mossberg shotgun with a bead only front sight. My Remington has a bead but it's mounted above a 1/4" (approx) wide ramp so a small notched end to accept only a bead wouldn't work. The picture showed what looked like a square notch so I took a chance and ordered it. The picture is correct and fit the squared off ramp perfect. This fitting is absolutely necessary to keep the sight aligned. I am not gluing it........as I've seen some mention - (OMG). Sight snaps in place and will stay attached unless you were to hit it directly on something. I admit, it's not an accessory I'd use out in heavy brush because it doesn't take a hammer blow to knock it off - but for a home or self defense gun it will work just fine. For the money and simplicity I give it 5 stars.
