After research on GitHub, the chipset in this dongle was listed as compatible with CachyOS - an Arch-Linux based OS - and I was not disappointed. Installed and worked with no problems, unlike my old TP-Link that I learned are not compatible [what a wasted opportunity!?] I get good strength signal across my house [65% on 2G] and have no problems with gaming or anything, unless Virgin has one of its frequent dropouts ofc! Very good vfm, but I cannot comment on durability yet as only had for 3 months.

Works great out of the box with Ubuntu 26.

Fully compatible with my windows 11 PC, connects via USB and has no issue locating my WiFi from quite a long range on the other side of my house. I get about 400-700mbps however a weird issue I keep having is now and then it'll just decide to have i guess zero signal and not he able to find ANY WiFi, no neighbours, hotspots and to fix this i need to unplug it and plug it back in? Very strange. But you get what you pay for as its pretty cheap, not too big either.

Can confirm it works well on Linux Kernel 6.18+ with no downloads required.

Been having trouble with it, installed the driver that came in the usb storage with it. Driver did not work well, the wifi speed is decent but i have been getting spikes in ping in games such as valorant where i would spike up to 300 ping and then back down to 10, its decent value for money and is easy to install in terms of just plugging it into your pc. In my opinion you should add a little more and get a better usb dongle.

I downloaded the driver in usb drive sent with this dongle- no luck, then downloaded from the website they provided, reset the network, and all kind of things. it doesnt work. total waste of money. i run windows 11

Bought to improve WiFi speed on a Raspberry Pi. Given the low price, especially compared to products from brands I know, I wasn't convinced this would work. However, it's build around the fastest WiFi chipset supported by the Linux kernel. I plugged it in to my Raspberry Pi, running Bookworm installed in November 2024, and it worked immediately and has continued to work faultlessly. No configuration required because the driver is included in the Linux kernel from version 6.6. Highly recommended if you're using a Linux kernel that supports this chipset.

As far from "plug and play" as you can get. Lots of wasted time. There are 2 parts to this (adapter with aerial, plus another small USB dongle). Not immediately apparent what the second part is for, nothing on the packaging, hence need to read manual. Manual is acccessed via QR code, rather than URL. But this is clearly not intended for use on a phone. So, having accessed by phone, there's a link for driver download. But that's no use on my phone. Manual contains a link for setup video, but there's nothing there - link doesn't respond (searching on the Videos page shows no videos at all for USB Adapters). Ditto with the link to driver. Then I discover that this is for a different product (EP-AX3000, not AX3000). This is the ONLY product that's brought up when you search for AX3000 in the download center. After all that, I discover that the model isn't actually AX3000, as prominently displayed on the packaging. It's an EP-AX1672, which is shown in the small print on a sticker on the back. Aha, there's a driver download for that! Which Microsoft Defenderthen prevents me from running as it's unrecognised. Over-riding that, I install and rather than opening the Setup, it tells me to go find it in Shortcuts. I'll stop there. You get the idea. UPDATE: Product works fine. The "dongle" was actually just a USB stick that contained the drivers, so all my running around was a waste of time. Good product, poor communication - would be useful to state the simple/obvious, like what the componennts are and how to set up.

Works great easy install

The setup was simple and took 5 mins. This wifi adapter performed way better than my previous one. The connection was stable and fast throughout. The cable provided is of good quality and looks like it will last.

Moved to a new residence where the wifi in the “office” was poor, and no ethernet. I'm a gamer. My PC’s AC WiFi kept quitting (tried *all* the fixes to no avail) and even when it worked, the highest throughput I ever saw was about 175Mbps (which would be ok if it didn’t die on me every few minutes (literally)). I researched this EDUP unit and its specs (including gain) and purchased over Amazon. The shipment arrived EARLY (even with COVID-19). Assembly (if you even want to call it that, you screw on the 2 antenae) took 30 seconds. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, do NOT just plug it in and expect Windows to “do it’s thing” (I’m Windows 10, all the updates). Mine came with a flash drive for the driver, not a CD (most laptops don’t have CD drives, good call EDUP!). I followed the directions provided: Plug in the flash drive, run the setup program, reboot. I then checked my Device Manager (not required, just me) and all the new drivers et al were present. I plugged in the unit, configured WiFi to use the new adapter (EASY), Eureka! Checked my WiFi signal, 565Mbps – over 3 TIMES faster than the best my old adapter could manage, and I get 101% of my ISPs provided speed (do a speedtest). I anticipated maybe needing to somehow mount the device higher on a bookcase to improve the signal but the speed was fantastic right there on my desktop. After 5 days, still working fine, hasn’t quit once, signal still great. Thank you EDUP! Would recommend this product. NOTE: I said I “configured my Wifi to use the new adapter… Some reviews say the USB device would somehow “automatically override” the native WiFi – mine didn’t. But its SIMPLE. Here's how, if your native wifi isn't automatically changed to your new USB adapter: In the “tray” on the Taskbar, click the Wifi option and you should have an option to “View Available Networks,” click that (if the list of in-range networks doesn't just automatically appear when you click the wifi icon in the tray). You should see your normal network (if you broadcast SSID). At the top of that menu, you will likely see a box that says “WIFI”, this isn’t a menu title, it’s a *selection* -- CLICK IT. Mine dropped down a selection for “WiFi 2” (the newly installed adapter, which would also be listed in your Windows Network Settings). Click (select) it. All the same networks will reappear, click yours, enter the password, voila. Done. I suppose if your modem/router has a WPS button that you can press for automatic connection, you can use that too (I didn’t need to, I know my password). Also, regarding Customer Service, I called (after hours) and didn’t leave a message. But shortly thereafter, I got a text from “Leon” asking if I needed technical support (I didn’t, it was something else). I emailed them about the other topic and the response was acceptably swift as well. Thank you!
