Chasing a Brighter Blue

A winter wedding brings romance for the bridesmaids – 4 StarsAiming to impress anyone and everyone, the bride’s mother has meticulously planned two weeks of wedding celebrations. Although bride-to-be, Stephanie, is happy to go along with her mother’s extravagant arrangements, her sister, Shelby, is far from content. When Shelby is asked to befriend the groom’s sister, Reagan Bryant, she initially baulks at the idea, but she soon finds herself wanting to drive the sadness from Reagan’s eyes…Another gentle and very sweet story from author Gerri Hill, and this one is certainly very Christmassy indeed. The setting is both luxurious and beautiful, and the romance between Shelby and Reagan is quite lovely. The scenes are almost evenly split between the decadence of the luxury spa hotel and the contrasting natural beauty of the local landscape, and the tragic sadness of Reagan’s personal story was artfully balanced by plenty of lighter moments. A very pleasant easy-read, and the only downside for me was that the ending seemed rather abrupt…I wanted to know more.Overall: You can’t get much more Christmassy than this gentle romance.

Really enjoyable read ,absolutely wonderful characters both the two main characters and their families. This was well written and edited no dramas just a tale of two lonely women finding love and each other,with humour and some hot scenes enjoying each other . Treat yourself to to this guarantee you will find yourself smiling when you have finished.

Decent story and likeable enough character's (as ever). Not one of my personal favourite's by Gerri (I generally tend to prefer her "straight girl finds she's not so straight after all" stories) but quality writing as always.

Another classic Gerri Hill, thoroughly enjoyed although I felt it ended slightly abruptly, I would have enjoyed reading more about the two main characters exploring their relationship and the great outdoors together.

I liked the way the story went but I find the ending a bit cut short.But over all I liked it.

Superb.... I have been a fan of Gerri's work since she posted fan fiction doing the Xena Warrior Princess days of fandom. I have read every book she's ever published and never once have been disappointed. She spoils with her effortless style and pace. Truly a first class writer.
