Great!
I purchased the Bissell Steam Shot Omni 4171 and I really love it. It’s excellent for a handheld steamer and works great for small jobs and quick cleanups. If you’re planning to clean floors or larger areas, I would recommend getting a bigger machine. It does run out of steam fairly quickly, which makes it less ideal for bigger tasks. I also wish it came with a hose attachment and a microfiber cloth. Another improvement would be adding a way to easily see the water level. Overall, it’s a great little steamer for small, detailed cleaning jobs.

LOVE IT!
Wow! I wish I had this years ago. I just DIY replaced the grout in my huge master bathroom floor, to change the color. This made cleanup take about a third of the time. Then I used it to steam some clothes. Clean my gas stove top, clean the vinyl on my car, and clean the grout in my shower. I love this little thing. It heats quickly and though the tank is only 6.6 oz, it lasted the duration of each job with water still in the tank. I generally trust Bissell to make a quality product and have used the steamwave floor cleaner for many years. The steamwave make light work to clean my sealed hardwood floors and tile, leaving them streak-free and beautiful. I highly recommend it. As for this steamer, I have had no experience with another brand of steamer to compare it to and feel no need to, I am fully satisfied with this product.

Strong steam for maintenance cleaning, not heavy-duty grout restoration
This handheld steamer produces a strong, continuous burst of steam as long as the button is pressed. Setup was simple and it heats up quickly. Steam output is effective for general cleaning jobs like bathroom wall grout, baseboards, and stovetops. It did not work well on heavily soiled bathroom floor grout, and there was very little improvement. It’s better suited for routine maintenance than deep restoration of very dark grout or thick, built-up grease. For a handheld unit, it performs well, but it’s not designed to handle extreme buildup on its own. The water tank is small, and I had to refill it several times to complete my shower walls. The steam trigger requires steady pressure and felt somewhat hard to depress during longer sessions. It became easier for me to manage over time, although that may simply be the result of my thumb getting stronger. Important: When finished, unplug and depress the steam button to release any remaining pressure before opening the lid.

Great steam cleaner for quick deep cleans in our Airbnb
I bought this handheld steam cleaner to help with quick deep cleaning between guests at our Airbnb, and it’s been really helpful for tackling small areas that need extra attention. It heats up quickly and produces strong steam that helps loosen grime, grease, and buildup without needing harsh chemicals. I’ve used it on grout, around sinks, and on bathroom fixtures where regular cleaning doesn’t always reach well. The different attachments are useful for getting into tight corners and around edges, which is great when you’re trying to clean efficiently between guest stays. The water tank is fairly small, so it’s best for targeted cleaning rather than large areas, but for quick touch-ups and detail cleaning it works very well. It was also helpful with hard to clean spots on walls from hands, crayons etc Overall this has been a great little tool to keep on hand for maintaining a clean and fresh space for guests.

Small. Like cleaning with a toothbrush.
First experience with a steam shot. It doesn't work as magically as the video I thought the steam and heat would clean things up quick but I felt like I was scrubbing with a toothbrush and slow going. It takes a good 10 minutes to fill with water, wait to heat, then get 5 minutes of steam time before having to go through the unplug, cool down, refill, heat up process again. For a moldy shower curtain, this did nothing. For the grout around the sink, it just tore up/removed the caulk more than actually clean it. For the grout on the floor, it did lighten but only after a long bit scrubbing like a toothbrush and you don't get very far before needing to go through the refill process again. (I got two sides of a tile before needing to refill.) The button for the stream release is in a bad spot it will hurt your thumb/hand quick. Yes, this can work for small jobs (really disappointed I wanted to do a floor, or the shower curtain, but this is too small, runs out of steam quick), I still think a bleach soak and sponge is still more effective, less abrasive, and less hassle than this.

Good for the price.
I bought this steamer to help remove creases from my new curtains I was hanging. I tried it out on the new shower curtain, since I was filling the water reservoir in the bathroom. The instructions were easy to read and setup was not difficult. The creases in the shower curtain melted away instantly! I did have a few issues with the steamer. One issue I was having was with the hose attachment used to steam fabric. There is no way to click it into place. It keeps falling off, over and over. It becomes frustrating, especially when having to hold the base of the product (with the water) in one hand and the hose in the other. I tried to place the base down in a few different places while standing and steaming the curtains. The base would topple over every time, causing me to stop and pick it back up. This too was frustrating. I found that the thickness of the curtains I bought was too much for the steamer. The wrinkles would not release. I had to take the curtains down and resort to my iron and ironing board. Over all, this works great for thin or sheer fabric, it can cumbersome to hold and the attachment that I needed would not click into place. I did use it on my grout tile but I think I needed to use a chemical to brighten the grout. The brush attachment worked well.

Bissell is a household name but my steamer worked only once and never again. I would like a refund and do not want to risk another.
